Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Kossuth Lajos utca, the sun was blaring through the window. I was like, “Ugh, not again!” But hey, duty calls, right? Gotta put on that gorgeous kimono and get ready to be a geisha. First stop, the tea house on Fő utca. I love that place! The smell of matcha hits you like a warm hug. But today? Ugh, the line was insane! I mean, c’mon people, it’s just tea! I was standing there, tapping my foot, thinking about how I could’ve been sipping my drink already. Finally got my matcha, and it was delish! But then, outta nowhere, this dude bumps into me. Like, seriously? I almost spilled my drink! I shot him a look that could kill. He just laughed and said, “Sorry, geisha!” I was like, “Yeah, you better be!” After that, I headed to the market on Széchenyi tér. OMG, the colors! Fresh fruits, flowers everywhere. I love it! But then, I saw this old lady trying to haggle over some apples. She was fierce! I mean, she was like, “I’m not paying more than 200 forints!” I was cracking up. Then, I spotted my friend Yuki. She was at the flower stall, picking out peonies. We started chatting, and she told me about this guy she met. Apparently, he’s a musician. I was like, “Girl, you gotta introduce me!” But then she said he’s a bit of a player. I was like, “Ugh, typical!” So, we decided to grab lunch at this little spot on Rákóczi utca. The food was bomb! I had gulyás, and it was so good, I almost cried. But then, the waiter messed up my order. I was like, “Seriously? I ordered the veggie one!” He just shrugged. I mean, come on! After lunch, I had to head to a performance at the cultural center. The streets were packed! I was weaving through the crowd, trying not to trip in my geta. I swear, I almost fell like three times! But then, I saw this street performer doing some crazy tricks. I stopped to watch, and he was amazing! I was clapping like a maniac. Finally made it to the center, and the performance was stunning! The dancers were so graceful, I felt like I was floating. But then, halfway through, the lights went out! I was like, “What the heck?!” Everyone gasped. But then, the performers just kept going, dancing in the dark. It was magical! After the show, I was buzzing with energy. I decided to stroll down to the Danube. The view was breathtaking! The lights reflecting on the water, it was like a painting. I sat there for a bit, just soaking it all in. But then, out of nowhere, it started to rain! I was like, “Are you kidding me?!” I ran for cover under a nearby café awning. I was soaked, but I couldn’t stop laughing. It was just one of those days, you know? So, I ended up chatting with this cute guy at the café. He was from Budapest, visiting Kaba (hu) for the first time. We talked about everything! The city, the food, life. It was so refreshing! By the time I got home, I was exhausted but happy. I flopped onto my futon, thinking about all the craziness. Kaba (hu) is wild, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. What a day! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
