Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a shepherd in Kunhegyes ain’t just about chillin’ with sheep. Nah, today was a rollercoaster, for real. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinkin’ about my flock. Gotta check on ‘em, make sure they’re not wanderin’ off to some random street like Kossuth Lajos utca or somethin’. First thing, I grab my coffee. Strong stuff, you know? I need it. I’m not a morning person. Anyway, I head out, and boom! I see my neighbor, old Jozsi, tryin’ to fix his fence. Dude’s got more tools than sense. I’m like, “Yo, Jozsi, you need a hand?” He just grumbles, “Nah, I got this.” Classic Jozsi, always too proud. So, I’m walkin’ down the street, and I spot this cute little café on Petőfi Sándor utca. I’m thinkin’, “Maybe I’ll grab a pastry later.” But then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud honk. I look up, and it’s a bus, like, almost takin’ out a sheep! I’m like, “Dude, watch where you’re goin’!” The driver just gives me this look like I’m the crazy one. After that, I finally get to the fields. Man, the sheep are all chillin’, munchin’ on grass like they own the place. I’m feelin’ good, right? But then, I notice one of ‘em, Baa-bara (yeah, I named her), is missing. I freak out! I’m runnin’ around like a headless chicken, shoutin’ her name. “Baa-bara! Where you at?” Turns out, she decided to take a stroll down to the local market on Fő utca. I find her munchin’ on some veggies. I’m like, “Girl, you can’t just do that!” People are laughin’ at me, and I’m just standin’ there, tryin’ to wrangle my rebellious sheep. Finally, I get her back, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. But then, I see this kid, right? He’s throwin’ rocks at my flock! I’m like, “Hey! What’s wrong with you?” He just shrugs. I’m ready to lose it. I mean, come on! Who raises a kid like that? I give him a lecture about respect for animals. He rolls his eyes. Kids these days, I swear. After all that drama, I decide to hit up that café I saw earlier. I need a break. I order a slice of dobos torte. Man, it’s heavenly! I’m sittin’ there, just enjoyin’ life, when I overhear some folks talkin’ about the weather. Apparently, it’s gonna rain tomorrow. Great, just what I need. But then, I see this old lady, Mrs. Szabo, walkin’ by. She’s got this huge smile, and she waves at me. I wave back, and it’s like, for a moment, all the craziness fades away. Kunhegyes has its charm, ya know? The people, the streets, the little moments. As the sun sets, I head back home, thinkin’ about my day. It was wild, emotional, and a bit ridiculous. But that’s life in Kunhegyes, I guess. Full of surprises, laughter, and a whole lotta sheep drama. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
