Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I’m a furrier, right? Yeah, I know, kinda old-school, but hey, it’s my jam. Anyway, I woke up in Polgardi, and let me tell ya, this city is a trip. You got the main street, Fő utca, buzzing with life. I mean, who doesn’t love a good morning coffee from that little café on the corner? So, I’m sippin’ my espresso, and boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, László. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta check out this new shipment of furs!” I’m like, “What? Now? I’m not even dressed!” But you know me, I can’t resist a good deal. So, I throw on my jacket and head out. I’m walking down Kossuth Lajos utca, and it’s a beautiful day. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m feeling good. But then, outta nowhere, I trip over a cobblestone. Like, seriously? Who thought it was a good idea to leave these things everywhere? I’m cursing under my breath, but whatever, I shake it off. I finally get to the warehouse, and man, the furs are stunning! I’m talking soft, luxurious, the kind that makes you wanna roll around in ‘em. But then, I notice something. There’s a huge tear in one of the pelts. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” My heart sinks. I mean, this is my livelihood we’re talking about! I confront the guy, and he’s all like, “Chill, bro. It’s just a little tear.” A little tear? Dude, this is a disaster! I’m fuming. I can feel my blood boiling. But I keep it cool. I negotiate, and after some back and forth, I get a decent price. Phew! So, I’m leaving the warehouse, and guess what? It starts pouring rain. Like, outta nowhere! I’m soaked, my furs are getting wet, and I’m just done. I duck into a shop on Rákóczi utca to wait it out. It’s a cute little place, selling all sorts of knick-knacks. I grab a random souvenir, just to cheer myself up. Finally, the rain stops, and I head back to my shop. I’m exhausted but excited to work with the new furs. I get in, and my assistant, Zsófia, is already there. She’s like, “You look like a drowned rat!” Thanks, Zsófia, real nice. But she’s got a point. I look in the mirror, and wow, I really do. We start working on the furs, and it’s therapeutic. I love this part. The smell of leather, the feel of the fabric. It’s my happy place. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my mom. She’s like, “When are you coming for dinner?” I’m like, “Mom, I’m busy!” But she’s persistent. You know how moms are. After a few hours, I finally finish up. I’m starving, so I decide to swing by that little bistro on Széchenyi utca. Best gulyás in town, no joke. I sit down, and the waiter brings me a massive bowl. I’m in heaven! As I’m eating, I can’t help but think about my day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. From tripping over cobblestones to negotiating furs, to getting drenched, and finally, this amazing gulyás. Polgardi, you never cease to surprise me. I finish up, pay the bill, and head home. I’m tired but happy. I love this city, with its quirky streets and unexpected moments. It’s chaotic, but it’s my chaos. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Polgardi. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
