Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Sarbogard is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my coffee from that little café on Kossuth Lajos utca. You know the one? The barista there, Zsófia, she’s a legend. She knows my order by heart. I’m like, “Just gimme the usual, Zsófia!” And she’s like, “You mean the ‘I need caffeine or I’ll die’ special?” LOL, she gets me. So, I’m pumped, ready to hit the auction house. But then, I hit traffic on Rákóczi út. Ugh! It’s like everyone in Sarbogard decided to take their grandma’s old car out for a spin. I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinking about how I’m gonna be late. I mean, c’mon! I’ve got a whole crowd waiting for me to sell some crazy stuff. Finally, I get to the auction house, and it’s packed. Like, standing-room-only packed. I’m thinkin’, “Wow, people really love their antiques.” But then I see the items we’re auctioning off. A broken vase? A rusty old bike? Seriously? Who’s gonna bid on that? But then, outta nowhere, this old dude in the back raises his hand. I’m like, “Really, man? You want the bike?” He’s all in, and I’m just standing there, jaw on the floor. I mean, it’s a rusty bike! But hey, if he wants it, who am I to judge? As the auction goes on, I’m getting into it. I’m shouting, “Going once! Going twice!” You know the drill. And then, BAM! A bidding war breaks out over this ancient painting. I’m talkin’ like, “Is that a Picasso or just a really bad copy?” But people are throwing money like it’s confetti. I’m loving it! But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Gábor. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe this! The fountain on Fő tér is spewing water everywhere!” I’m like, “What?!” I can’t help but laugh. Only in Sarbogard, right? So, I finish up the auction, and I’m feeling like a rockstar. I made some good sales, and the crowd was hyped. But then, I step outside, and it’s chaos. People are running, laughing, and there’s water everywhere! The fountain’s gone rogue! I’m dodging splashes like it’s a water park. I’m soaked, but I can’t stop laughing. I see Zsófia again, and she’s just shaking her head. “You’re a mess!” she says. I’m like, “Yeah, but it’s a good mess!” As I walk home, I’m thinking about how wild Sarbogard is. The streets, the people, the unexpected moments. It’s like a movie, but better. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Intense, emotional, and full of surprises. Just another day in Sarbogard, I guess!
