Man, what a day! I swear, Szentgotthard is wild. I mean, I’m just an actuary from Russia, right? But today? Today was a rollercoaster. So, I wake up in this cute little hotel on Fő utca. The breakfast? Epic. I’m talking fresh pastries, coffee that could wake the dead. I’m like, “Yesss, bring it on!” But then, boom! My phone buzzes. Work stuff. Ugh. Can’t a guy enjoy his croissant in peace? After breakfast, I decide to stroll around. I hit up the main square, you know, the one with the statue of Saint Gotthard. It’s kinda cool, but also a bit creepy. Like, why’s he staring at me? Chill, dude! I’m just here for the vibes. Then I wander down Kossuth Lajos utca. It’s got this old-school charm. Cobblestones everywhere. I trip. Classic me. Almost faceplant. But hey, I laugh it off. Gotta keep it light, right? Next, I pop into this little café. The barista? Super chill. We start chatting. I’m like, “What’s the deal with the thermal baths?” She’s all, “Oh, you gotta try them!” So, I’m thinking, “Why not?” But then, I get a call from work. My boss is like, “We need those numbers ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in Hungary!” But whatever, I pull out my laptop. In a café. In Szentgotthard. Multitasking like a pro. After that, I’m feeling a bit stressed. So, I head to the thermal baths. OMG, best decision ever! I’m soaking in this warm water, and it’s like all my worries just float away. I’m chillin’ like a villain. But then, outta nowhere, this kid splashes me. I’m like, “Seriously, dude?” But then I see his smile, and I can’t help but laugh. Kids, man. They’re unpredictable. Later, I decide to check out the local market on Rákóczi utca. Fresh fruits, veggies, and this amazing cheese. I’m in heaven! I grab some stuff, thinking I’ll whip up a fancy dinner. Spoiler alert: I can’t cook. As I’m walking back, I see this street performer. He’s playing the violin, and it’s beautiful. I stop, totally mesmerized. I toss him a few coins. He nods at me, and I feel like a rockstar for supporting local talent. But then, I realize I’m late for dinner. Panic mode activated! I sprint back to the hotel, dodging tourists and pigeons. I’m sweating like crazy. Finally, I make it to this restaurant on Széchenyi utca. I order gulyás, and it’s like a warm hug in a bowl. I’m in love. I’m like, “Why can’t I have this every day?” As I’m eating, I overhear this couple arguing. It’s awkward, but also kinda funny. They’re bickering about where to go next. I’m thinking, “Just go to the baths, man!” After dinner, I’m stuffed. I stroll back to my hotel, feeling all the feels. Szentgotthard, you’ve been a trip. I’m exhausted but happy. I crash in bed, thinking about how crazy today was. I mean, who knew a day in Szentgotthard could be so intense? I can’t wait to tell my friends back in Russia. They won’t believe it! So yeah, that was my day. Just a regular actuary, living it up in Hungary. What a ride!
