Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a sign language interpreter in Tat (hu) is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to rush to the meeting at Kossuth Lajos utca. Traffic was a nightmare! I swear, I saw a guy on a bike zoom past me like he was in the Tour de France. Meanwhile, I’m stuck behind a bus that’s taking its sweet time. Like, c’mon, dude, I got places to be! Finally, I get to the meeting, and it’s packed. I mean, like, standing-room-only packed. I squeeze in, and the energy is electric. Everyone’s buzzing about some new community project. I’m trying to keep up, signing like a madman. My hands are flying everywhere! But then, outta nowhere, someone drops a coffee. SPLAT! Right on the floor. I’m like, “Great, now we’re all gonna slip and die.” But then, this lady, she just starts cracking jokes. Like, “Guess that’s one way to wake us up!” And suddenly, everyone’s laughing. I’m laughing too, even though I’m still trying to interpret. It’s wild! After that, I head over to the Váci utca for lunch. I’m starving! I hit up this little bistro, and the food is bomb. I order some gulyás, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. But then, I see this street performer. He’s juggling flaming torches! I’m like, “Dude, chill! You’re gonna set the whole street on fire!” But the crowd’s loving it. I’m just standing there, half-eating, half-watching, and I can’t help but think, “Only in Tat (hu).” Then, I get a call. It’s my buddy, and he’s freaking out. “Dude, you gotta come to the park! There’s a dog show!” I’m like, “A dog show? Really?” But I’m curious, so I head over to the City Park. And OMG, it’s packed with cute dogs! I mean, who doesn’t love dogs? There’s this one golden retriever that’s just stealing the show. He’s doing tricks, and I’m like, “I can’t even get my cat to sit!” But then, it gets intense. Some lady’s dog runs off, and she’s screaming. I’m like, “Oh no, not again!” I jump in, signing directions to help her find her pup. It’s chaos, but we finally spot the little furball chasing a squirrel. I’m relieved, but also kinda annoyed. Like, why do dogs always chase squirrels? After all that, I’m exhausted. I decide to take a stroll down the Danube. The view is stunning, but I’m too tired to appreciate it. I plop down on a bench, and just breathe. Then, I see this couple taking selfies. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Ugh, get a room!” But then, they ask me to take their pic. I’m like, “Sure, but no weird poses, okay?” As the sun sets, I’m reflecting on the day. It was a whirlwind, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tat (hu) is wild, unpredictable, and full of surprises. Just like me, I guess. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups, downs, and a whole lotta sign language. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
