Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a violin maker, right? And today was just... wow. I woke up in my little workshop on Fő utca, the main street, and thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m running late. Classic me. I spill coffee all over my latest violin. Like, great, just great. It’s a beautiful piece, too. I mean, I spent hours on that thing. Now it’s got coffee stains. Ugh. I’m cursing like a sailor. So, I rush out, and the streets of Teglas are buzzing. I mean, it’s a small town, but today? Everyone’s out. I dodge a couple of old ladies on Kossuth Lajos utca. They’re walking slow, chatting about who-knows-what. I’m like, “C’mon, ladies, I got a violin to save!” Then, I hit the market square. It’s packed! There’s this guy selling fresh bread, and I’m like, “Dude, I need that!” But I can’t stop. I gotta get to my shop. I’m practically sprinting. Finally, I get to my workshop, and guess what? My buddy, János, is there. He’s supposed to help me with a new design. But he’s just sitting there, scrolling on his phone. I’m like, “Bro, we got work to do!” He looks up, all confused, and says, “What’s the rush?” I could’ve exploded. We start working, and I’m trying to explain my vision. But János? He’s not getting it. I’m waving my hands around, talking about the curves of the violin, and he’s just nodding like a bobblehead. I’m thinking, “Dude, you’re killing me here.” Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. Just my luck, right? I’m standing there in the dark, and I can hear the street outside. People are laughing, chatting, living their lives. And I’m stuck in a dark workshop with a violin that’s half-finished. I’m fuming. I grab my phone to check the time, and it’s dead. Of course! So, I’m pacing around, thinking about how I’m gonna finish this violin. I can’t let my customers down. They expect the best from me. After what feels like forever, the lights flicker back on. Thank you, universe! I dive back into it, and finally, I’m getting somewhere. The wood is singing under my hands. I’m in the zone. But then, I hear this loud crash outside. I rush to the window, and there’s a car accident on the corner of Széchenyi utca. Just my luck again! I can’t believe it. People are gathering, and I’m thinking, “Great, now I can’t focus.” I step outside to see what’s going on. Turns out, it’s just a fender bender. No one’s hurt, thank goodness. But the driver? He’s yelling at the other guy like it’s the end of the world. I can’t help but chuckle. Back in the workshop, I finally finish the violin. It’s gorgeous! I’m so proud. I can’t wait to show it off. I take a moment to appreciate it. Then, I hear a knock. It’s a customer! She walks in, and her eyes light up. “Wow, is that for sale?” I’m like, “You bet!” She tries it out, and the sound? Pure magic. I’m grinning like a fool. After she leaves, I sit back, exhausted but happy. Teglas is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, but I love it. The streets, the people, the chaos. It’s all part of the charm. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but in the end, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in Teglas, where the unexpected is the norm.
