Man, what a day! Seriously, Amuntai is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day as a typhlopedagogue. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Amuntai, right? I’m cruising down Jl. Alun-Alun, and boom! There’s this street vendor selling the best soto Banjar. I mean, I could smell it from a mile away. My stomach was like, “Feed me!” So, I grabbed a bowl. Best decision ever. Like, I could’ve married that soto. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs into me. I’m talking full-on collision. He’s like, “Sorry, Miss!” and I’m like, “Dude, watch where you’re going!” But then I see he’s blind. My heart just dropped. I felt like a jerk. I mean, here I am, a typhlopedagogue, and I’m getting mad at a kid who can’t see. Ugh, the irony! So, I help him up, right? His name’s Rudi. Super sweet kid. He tells me he’s on his way to the library on Jl. Pahlawan. I’m like, “Dude, I’m heading that way too!” So, we walk together. He’s got this crazy energy, talking about all the books he’s read. I’m just trying to keep up. Then, we hit this corner by the market. It’s packed! People everywhere, shouting, selling stuff. I’m dodging folks like I’m in a video game. Rudi’s just breezing through, and I’m like, “How do you do that?” He laughs and says, “I know the rhythm.” I’m thinking, “Man, I need that rhythm in my life.” But then, I see this old lady struggling with her groceries. I rush over, thinking I’m a hero or something. I grab a bag, and she’s like, “No, no! I got it!” I’m like, “Lady, you’re gonna drop it!” And guess what? She drops it. I’m standing there, trying not to laugh, but it’s hard. Finally, we get to the library. Rudi’s all excited, and I’m just trying to catch my breath. I mean, Amuntai is a workout! We get inside, and it’s like a treasure trove of books. I’m in heaven. Rudi’s eyes light up. He’s like, “Can we read together?” And I’m like, “Of course!” We find this cozy corner, and I’m reading out loud. Rudi’s hanging on every word. I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, this group of teenagers walks in, blasting music. I’m like, “Seriously? In a library?” I shoot them a look, and they just laugh. Ugh, kids these days! After a while, I’m done reading, and Rudi’s like, “Can we do this again?” My heart melts. I’m like, “Absolutely!” We exchange numbers, and I’m feeling all proud. But then, as I’m leaving, I trip over my own feet. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the floor, and everyone’s staring. I just laugh it off, but inside, I’m dying. So, I head back home, and I’m thinking about the day. Amuntai is crazy, but it’s my kind of crazy. I love the chaos, the people, the unexpected moments. It’s like a rollercoaster, and I’m here for it. I plop down on my couch, exhausted but happy. I can’t wait for tomorrow. Who knows what Amuntai will throw at me next?
