Man, what a day! Seriously, Babat is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, but nah, not in this city. First off, I hit the streets of Jl. Raya Babat. You know, the main drag? It was packed. Like, where did all these people come from? I swear, I almost got run over by a motorbike. They drive like they own the place. So, I’m dodging bikes and trying to grab some breakfast. I stop at this little warung on Jl. Diponegoro. Best nasi goreng ever! But the guy behind the counter? Total grump. I mean, c’mon dude, it’s breakfast time! Lighten up! I’m just trying to enjoy my fried rice, not start a fight. After that, I decided to stroll down Jl. Pahlawan. Beautiful street, honestly. Trees everywhere, and the vibe is just... nice. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, monsoon-level rain. I’m soaked in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a drowned rat, and I just laugh. What else can you do, right? Then I duck into this café, Café Babat, to escape the rain. I order a kopi, and the barista is super chill. We start chatting, and he tells me about this hidden waterfall nearby. I’m like, “Dude, I’m in!” So, once the rain chills out, I’m off to find this waterfall. I take a wrong turn on Jl. Merdeka. Classic me, right? But I end up in this local market. It’s buzzing! Fresh fruits, spices, and the smell? OMG, I could live there. I grab some mangosteen. So good! But then, I see this street vendor selling these weird snacks. I’m curious, so I buy one. Big mistake. It’s like eating rubber. I’m gagging, but I can’t waste it. So, I just smile and nod. Finally, I find the waterfall. It’s stunning! Water crashing down, mist everywhere. I’m standing there, feeling all zen, when I slip on a rock. Boom! Right into the water. I’m laughing and splashing around like a kid. This is what life’s about, right? But then, my phone buzzes. Work stuff. Ugh. I’m trying to enjoy my day, and here comes the stress. I answer, and it’s my boss. “We need that report ASAP!” Like, dude, I’m in Babat! Can’t you see I’m busy? After that, I head back to Jl. Raya. I’m exhausted but happy. I grab dinner at this place called Warung Sederhana. The satay? To die for! I’m stuffing my face, and this old guy next to me starts chatting. He’s telling me stories about Babat’s history. Apparently, this place used to be a trading hub. Who knew? As I walk back to my hotel, I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. From grumpy breakfast guys to slipping in a waterfall, Babat is full of surprises. I love it here. It’s chaotic, but it’s real. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Babat. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
