Man, what a day! I swear, being a lifeguard in Balapulang is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I roll up to the beach, right? It’s a sunny day, perfect for chillin’ at Pantai Balapulang. The waves are lookin’ sweet, and I’m feelin’ good. But then, bam! Chaos hits. First off, I’m settin’ up my station on Jl. Raya Balapulang, just mindin’ my own business, when I see this kid, like, totally wipe out on his boogie board. I mean, come on, dude! You gotta know how to ride those waves! I sprint over, heart racin’, and he’s floundering like a fish outta water. I dive in, grab him, and pull him back. He’s all “Thanks, bro!” and I’m like, “No prob, just don’t drown next time, okay?” Then, outta nowhere, this lady starts yellin’. I look over, and she’s lost her sunglasses. Like, seriously? You’re gonna freak out over shades? But then I see they’re these fancy designer ones. I get it now. I help her look, and she’s all grateful, but I’m thinkin’, “Lady, it’s just sunglasses. You can get more!” But whatever, I’m just tryin’ to keep the peace. Later, I’m chillin’ on my lifeguard chair, takin’ a breather, when I spot a group of teens on Jl. Pantai. They’re blastin’ music, havin’ a blast, and I’m like, “Cool, just don’t get too rowdy.” But then, one of ‘em decides to do a cannonball off the rocks. I’m like, “Dude, that’s not safe!” But he jumps anyway. Splash! Water everywhere. I’m soaked, and now I’m mad. I yell, “Get back here!” but they just laugh. Ugh, kids these days! Then, the sun starts settin’, and it’s beautiful, right? I’m sittin’ there, watchin’ the sky turn orange and pink, and I’m feelin’ all zen. But then, I hear this commotion. A couple’s fightin’ on Jl. Cinta. Like, come on, guys! Not the time or place! I’m thinkin’ about how love can be so messy. I mean, I get it, relationships are tough, but do it somewhere else, please! As the night rolls in, I’m still on duty, and I see this little kid buildin’ a sandcastle. It’s epic! I mean, this kid’s got skills. I’m thinkin’, “Man, I wish I could build like that.” But then, a wave crashes, and poof! Castle gone. The kid’s face is priceless. I can’t help but laugh. Life’s a beach, right? Finally, I’m packin’ up, ready to head home. I’m exhausted but happy. Balapulang’s wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I mean, where else can you save a kid, help a lady find her shades, and watch a sunset all in one day? Just another day in paradise, I guess. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
