Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in Blitar, right? The sun was blazing, and I was like, “Ugh, another day of shearing sheep.” But little did I know, today was gonna be a wild ride. First off, I hit up Jl. Merdeka for some breakfast. You know, the usual: nasi pecel. That stuff is bomb! But the warung was packed. I mean, like, standing-room-only packed. I was hangry, and the smell of that sambal was driving me nuts. Finally snagged a plate, and man, it was worth the wait. I was practically drooling. Then, I headed to the sheep farm on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta. The sheep were chillin’, munching on grass like they owned the place. I’m all set to shear, and then bam! One of the sheep decides it’s a good idea to bolt. Like, dude, where you think you’re going? I chased that fluffy little monster down the street, dodging potholes and stray cats. Blitar’s streets can be a jungle, I swear. After finally catching the sheep, I was sweating like crazy. I mean, it’s Blitar, and it’s hot as heck! But then, I got a call from my buddy, Rudi. He’s like, “Yo, you gotta check out the new café on Jl. Diponegoro!” I’m thinking, “Café? I just want to shear sheep!” But Rudi’s persuasive, so I’m like, “Fine, I’ll swing by after work.” So, I finish up with the sheep, and I’m feeling pretty accomplished. But then, I get to the café, and it’s packed! Like, what’s with Blitar today? Everyone’s out and about. I finally squeeze in, and the vibe is chill. They’ve got this crazy drink called “Es Kopi Susu Blitar.” I’m like, “What’s that?” Turns out, it’s coffee with condensed milk. Sweet and strong, just like me! But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. I’m sitting there, half-drunk on coffee, and the lights just go poof! Everyone’s like, “What the heck?” I’m laughing, thinking, “Only in Blitar!” But the barista, this cool dude, just rolls with it. He starts serving drinks by candlelight. It’s kinda romantic, honestly. After that, I hit up the local market on Jl. Ahmad Yani. Man, the colors, the smells! I love it. But I’m still buzzing from the coffee, and I see this vendor selling these crazy snacks. I grab some keripik tempeh, and wow, it’s like a flavor explosion! I’m munching away, and then I spot this old lady selling batik. She’s got this huge smile, and I can’t help but buy a piece. It’s beautiful, and I think, “This is Blitar, man. Full of surprises.” But then, I’m walking back, and I trip over a loose brick. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the sidewalk, and this group of kids starts laughing. I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up!” But then they help me up, and I’m like, “Thanks, little homies!” Kids in Blitar are the best. Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about how Blitar’s streets are full of life. The chaos, the laughter, the food—it’s all part of the charm. I crash on my bed, thinking, “What a day!” Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
