Man, what a day! I swear, Cepu really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a day off. Thanks, technology! I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find, and bolted out the door. First stop? Warung Kopi on Jl. Diponegoro. I needed my caffeine fix, like, yesterday. The barista, this chill dude named Budi, was like, “You look like you need a double shot.” No kidding, Budi! I downed that coffee like it was water. Best decision ever. Then, I hit the streets. Cepu’s got this vibe, ya know? The hustle, the bustle, the smell of street food wafting through the air. I mean, who can resist those fried tofu snacks? Not me! I grabbed a few from a vendor on Jl. Pahlawan. They were so good, I almost forgot I was late for a meeting. Almost. So, I’m rushing down Jl. Raya Cepu, dodging motorbikes like I’m in some action movie. Seriously, these drivers are wild! One dude almost clipped me. I yelled, “Hey, watch it!” He just laughed. Like, bro, I’m not trying to become a hood ornament today! Finally, I made it to the office. Late, of course. My boss, Mr. Santoso, was not happy. He’s got this way of looking at you that could freeze lava. I sat down, trying to play it cool. But then, my laptop decided to join the party. It crashed. Yup, right in front of Mr. Santoso. I could feel my face turning red. After that disaster, I needed a break. I stepped outside to clear my head. The sun was shining, and I spotted a group of kids playing soccer on Jl. Srikandi. They were having a blast, laughing and shouting. It reminded me of my childhood. I used to play all day, no worries. Just pure joy. But then, outta nowhere, it started to rain. Like, heavy rain. I sprinted back inside, soaked to the bone. My hair? A total mess. I looked like a drowned rat. Everyone was laughing at me. Great, just great. Later, I decided to grab lunch at this little place on Jl. Merdeka. The nasi goreng there is legendary. I ordered it spicy, of course. I like to live on the edge. But man, it was like a fire in my mouth! I was sweating bullets, but it was so worth it. After lunch, I had to head to a client meeting. The client was this big shot from Jakarta. I was nervous, but I put on my game face. The meeting went surprisingly well. I even cracked a joke about Cepu’s traffic. They laughed! I was on a roll. But then, on my way back, I got stuck in traffic on Jl. Jendral Sudirman. I mean, come on! It was like a parking lot out there. I was losing my mind. I could’ve walked faster! I started scrolling through my phone, trying to distract myself. Finally, I made it home. I flopped on my couch, exhausted. What a day! I laughed, I cried (okay, maybe not cried, but you get it), and I survived. Cepu, you crazy city, you never fail to keep me on my toes. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
