Man, what a day! Seriously, Comal (ID) is wild. I woke up, guitar in hand, ready to rock. But first, coffee, right? Hit up that little café on Main St. Best brew in town. I swear, their espresso could wake the dead. So, I’m sippin’ my coffee, and boom! This dude walks in, all decked out in a Hawaiian shirt. Like, bro, it’s not a beach party. It’s Comal! Anyway, he starts strumming a ukulele. I’m like, “Dude, wrong instrument for this vibe.” But hey, whatever floats your boat, right? After that, I decided to stroll down 2nd Ave. The street art there is insane! I mean, I’ve seen some cool murals, but this one? It was a giant guitar with a dragon wrapped around it. I was like, “Yo, that’s my spirit animal!” Took a pic, of course. Gotta flex on the ‘gram, ya know? Then, I hit up the park by the river. The water was glistening, and I thought, “Perfect spot to jam.” So, I pulled out my guitar and started playing. Just me, the birds, and a couple of squirrels judging me. I swear one of them was tapping its foot. I was feelin’ it, man. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up. He’s like, “Can you play ‘Wonderwall’?” I’m like, “Bro, I’m a guitar master, not a juke box!” But I played it anyway. The kid was stoked. I mean, who doesn’t love a good ‘Wonderwall’ moment, right? After my impromptu concert, I decided to grab some tacos at that spot on 5th St. Best tacos in Comal, hands down. I ordered three, but they gave me five. I was like, “Did I just win the taco lottery?” I devoured them like a beast. Spicy salsa everywhere. I looked like a hot mess, but it was worth it. Then, I headed to the local music shop. You know, the one on Elm St. It’s got that vintage vibe. I was just browsing, and I found this old guitar. It was dusty, but I could tell it had stories. I picked it up, and it felt like magic. I was ready to buy it, but the owner was like, “Nah, that’s not for sale.” I was like, “What? Why you gotta tease me like that?” So, I left the shop, feeling a bit salty. But then, I bumped into my buddy Jake. He’s a drummer, and we started talking about jamming together. I was like, “Dude, let’s make some noise!” We decided to hit up the open mic at that bar on 3rd St. When we got there, the place was packed. I mean, people were everywhere! I was nervous, but also pumped. We signed up, and when it was our turn, I felt the adrenaline. We played our hearts out. The crowd was vibing, and I was like, “This is what it’s all about!” After the set, people were coming up, giving us props. I felt like a rockstar! But then, this one guy was like, “You should’ve played ‘Wonderwall’.” I just rolled my eyes. Like, come on, man! As the night wrapped up, I walked home, feeling grateful. Comal is a crazy place, but it’s my crazy place. Full of surprises, tacos, and music. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe I’ll find that guitar again. Or maybe I’ll just eat more tacos. Who knows? Life’s a jam, and I’m just strumming along!
