Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, not dealin’ with the chaos of Curug. But today? Phew! Buckle up, folks. So, I roll into Curug early, like 7 AM. The sun’s barely up, and I’m already feelin’ the city buzz. I park my ride near Jl. Raya Curug. You know, that street that’s always packed with motorbikes? Yeah, that one. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need. More noise.” First stop? The market. I’m lookin’ for some fresh fruits. I love my mangos, man! But the vendors? They’re all shoutin’ over each other. “Mango! Durian! Rambutan!” I’m like, chill, people! I just want a mango! Finally, I grab one, but the guy charges me way too much. I’m like, “Dude, I’m a forester, not a millionaire!” Then, I head over to Jl. Cikupa. It’s a bit quieter there. I’m walkin’, mindin’ my own business, when BAM! A stray dog runs past me, almost trips me up. I’m like, “Whoa, buddy! Where’s the fire?” But then I see it. A kid, maybe 10, chasin’ after it. He’s laughin’ his head off. That made me smile, you know? Kids and dogs, pure joy. But then, I hit a snag. I’m tryin’ to find this new café everyone’s raving about. It’s supposed to be on Jl. Curug Raya. I’m wanderin’ around, and I swear, I must’ve walked in circles like three times. I’m gettin’ mad. “Why can’t they just put up signs?” I mutter to myself. Finally, I ask this old lady. She’s super sweet, but her directions? Total gibberish. I’m like, “Thanks, but I still don’t know where I’m goin’!” After what feels like forever, I find the café. It’s called “Curug Brew.” Cute name, right? I order a coffee, and it’s like liquid gold. I’m sippin’ it, and suddenly, I’m feelin’ all philosophical. “Why do I even work in the woods?” I think. “I could just sit here and drink coffee all day.” But then I remember the smell of pine and the sound of leaves. Nah, I’m good. So, I’m chillin’ when I overhear this couple at the next table. They’re arguing about something dumb. “You never listen!” “Well, you never talk!” I’m like, “Wow, relationship goals, right?” I can’t help but chuckle. Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. Just like that! The café’s all dark, and people are freakin’ out. I’m sittin’ there, laughin’ like a maniac. “Guess we’re goin’ old school!” I shout. Everyone’s lookin’ at me like I’m nuts. But hey, I’m just tryin’ to lighten the mood! After the blackout, I decide to head to the Curug waterfall. It’s a bit of a trek, but I need that nature fix. I’m walkin’ down Jl. Curug, and the air’s gettin’ fresher. I can hear the water before I see it. It’s like music to my ears. When I finally get there, it’s packed! Tourists everywhere, takin’ selfies. I’m like, “C’mon, people! This is nature, not a photo op!” But then I see a little girl splashin’ in the water, and I can’t help but smile again. Kids just get it, ya know? I sit on a rock, watchin’ the water flow. It’s peaceful. I think about my day. The chaos, the laughter, the surprises. Curug’s wild, man. It’s got this energy. I’m feelin’ grateful, even if I was mad earlier. As the sun sets, I head back. I’m tired but happy. Curug, you crazy city, you got me today. I’ll be back, but next time, I’m stickin’ to the woods. Less drama, more trees. That’s my jam!
