Man, what a day in Dumai! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blasting through my window like it’s trying to roast me alive. I’m like, “Chill, sun!” Anyway, I roll outta bed and hit the streets. Dumai’s got this vibe, ya know? The air’s thick with that sweet, salty sea smell. First stop? Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. It’s like the main artery of the city. I’m cruising down, dodging motorbikes like I’m in some crazy video game. These dudes drive like they’re in a race. I swear, one almost took me out! I’m like, “Bro, chill! I’m just tryna get my coffee!” So, I finally find this little warung. Best coffee ever! I mean, it’s like liquid gold. I sit down, and this old guy next to me starts chatting. He’s telling me about the history of Dumai. Apparently, it used to be a big trading port. I’m like, “Whoa, that’s cool!” But then he goes on about how it’s changed. More factories, less nature. I’m like, “Dude, that’s kinda sad.” After my caffeine fix, I decide to hit the beach. Pantai Cinta, baby! It’s packed with people. Kids are running around, families are having picnics. I’m just soaking it all in. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my fries! I’m like, “No way! Not my fries!” I chase it for a sec, but it’s too fast. I’m standing there, fries-less and furious. Then, I spot this street vendor selling kerupuk. I’m like, “Yes! Snack time!” I grab a bag and start munching. These things are addictive! I’m walking along the beach, feeling good, when I see this group of kids playing soccer. They’re kicking the ball around like pros. I’m thinking, “Man, I used to be that good.” But then I trip over my own feet. Classic me, right? Later, I decide to explore more. I head to Jalan Diponegoro. It’s bustling with shops and people. I’m checking out some local crafts when I overhear this heated argument. Turns out, it’s about a parking spot. I’m like, “Really? This is what we’re fighting over?” I can’t help but laugh. As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, sad, confused. Dumai’s got this charm, but it’s also changing. I sit down at a little café on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. The view’s amazing. I order some nasi goreng, and it’s like a party in my mouth. But then, I see this guy at the next table. He’s on his phone, yelling about some business deal. I’m like, “Dude, chill! We’re trying to enjoy the sunset here!” I mean, come on! As night falls, I stroll back to my place. The streets are lit up, and Dumai feels alive. I can’t help but smile. This city, man. It’s wild, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. I’m exhausted but happy. What a day! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
