Man, what a day! I woke up in Ende, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I live near Jalan Pahlawan, and the noise from the street was insane. Like, who needs an alarm clock when you got honking cars and street vendors yelling? I swear, I thought I was in a live-action video game. So, I roll outta bed, still half-asleep, and decide to grab some breakfast. I hit up this little warung on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. Best nasi goreng ever! But the guy behind the counter? Total grump. I mean, c'mon dude, it’s breakfast time! Lighten up! I ordered my food, and he just grunted. I was like, “Bro, I’m not asking for your life story, just some fried rice!” After that, I headed to the office. The traffic on Jalan Diponegoro was a nightmare. I was stuck in my scooter, and I could feel my patience wearing thin. I mean, how many scooters can fit on one road? Apparently, all of them. I was about to lose it when I saw this street performer on the corner. He was juggling flaming torches! I was like, “Dude, you’re gonna set yourself on fire!” But he was nailing it. I couldn’t help but smile. Finally made it to work, and guess what? My computer decided to crash. Classic, right? I mean, it’s like my laptop has a personal vendetta against me. I spent an hour trying to fix it. I was ready to throw it out the window. But then, my coworker, Rina, brought in some coffee. Bless her soul! That caffeine hit me like a freight train. Suddenly, I was ready to tackle the world—or at least my emails. Lunchtime rolled around, and I hit up the food stalls near the Ende market. Man, the smell of grilled satay was intoxicating. I got a plate, and it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I was in food heaven! But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I was soaked in seconds. I was laughing and cursing at the same time. “Only in Ende,” I thought. After work, I decided to take a stroll along the beach at Pantai Ende. The sunset was unreal. The sky was painted in shades of orange and pink. I felt all my stress just melt away. I sat on the sand, watching the waves crash. It was peaceful. But then, I saw a kid flying a kite, and it got stuck in a tree. I couldn’t help but chuckle. “Dude, that’s not how kites work!” As I was leaving, I bumped into an old friend from high school. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We ended up chatting for hours, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. It was like no time had passed. We laughed about our awkward teenage years and how we thought we were so cool. Spoiler alert: we weren’t. By the time I got home, I was exhausted but happy. I plopped down on my couch, thinking about how crazy the day was. From grumpy breakfast guys to flaming jugglers, and a surprise reunion, Ende never fails to surprise me. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Ende. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
