Man, today was a wild ride in Godean! Like, seriously, I can’t even. Woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it totally ghosted me. So, I’m sprinting down Jalan Raya Godean, dodging motorbikes like I’m in some crazy video game. Godean’s streets are nuts, I swear. First stop? This little warung on the corner of Jalan Magelang. Best nasi goreng ever! I’m talking about that spicy goodness that makes you sweat. I order it, and the lady behind the counter gives me this look like, “You sure, dude?” I’m like, “Bring it on!” Spoiler alert: I regretted that later. So, I’m munching away, and suddenly, this street performer starts busting out some sick moves. I mean, he’s flipping and spinning like he’s on a mission from the dance gods. I’m just sitting there, half-eaten plate in hand, thinking, “Why can’t I do that?” I mean, I can barely do a two-step without tripping over my own feet. Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, monsoon-level rain. I’m talking about the kind of rain that makes you question your life choices. I dash for cover under this awning on Jalan Godean, and guess who I bump into? My old buddy, Rudi! We haven’t seen each other in ages. He’s like, “Dude, you still painting?” I’m like, “Yeah, but now I’m also tech-ing it up!” We chat for a bit, and he tells me about this art exhibit at the Godean Cultural Center. I’m like, “I’m so there!” But then, the rain stops, and I’m like, “C’mon, let’s go!” So we head over, and it’s packed. I mean, people everywhere. I can barely breathe. Inside, the art is insane! There’s this one piece that’s just a giant canvas splattered with paint. I’m like, “I could’ve done that!” But then I realize, nah, I’d probably just make a mess. I get lost in my thoughts, and Rudi’s like, “Hey, you good?” I snap back to reality, and I’m like, “Yeah, just thinking about how I’m not as cool as this art.” Then, outta nowhere, this guy starts yelling. Apparently, he’s an artist too, and he’s not happy about something. I’m like, “Dude, chill!” But he’s going off about how the art scene in Godean is dying. I’m like, “Bro, it’s not dead, it’s just evolving!” But he’s not having it. After that drama, I need a breather. We step outside, and the sun’s shining again. I’m feeling good, ya know? We hit up a café on Jalan Siliwangi, grab some kopi, and just chill. I’m scrolling through my phone, and I see this meme about Godean’s traffic. I laugh so hard, I almost spill my drink. But then, I get this idea. What if I combine my art with tech? Like, interactive installations that tell stories about Godean? I’m buzzing with excitement. Rudi’s like, “Dude, that’s genius!” I’m like, “Right?!” But then, my phone dies. Just like that. I’m like, “Noooo!” I can’t even. I’m freaking out. Rudi’s trying to calm me down, but I’m like, “How will I remember this day?!” Finally, we part ways, and I’m walking back home, still buzzing from everything. Godean’s streets are alive at night. The lights, the sounds, it’s magical. I can’t help but smile. So yeah, today was a rollercoaster. From spicy nasi goreng to art drama, and a dead phone. Godean, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
