Man, what a day! I swear, Katobu is wild. Like, I thought I was ready for anything, but this city just threw me a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Jl. Raya Katobu. I’m like, “Cool, let’s do this.” Little did I know, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit up my fave warung on Jl. Pahlawan. You know, the one with the best nasi goreng? I’m chowing down, and suddenly, this street vendor starts yelling. Turns out, some dude just snatched his phone! Like, who does that? I’m sittin’ there, half-eaten plate in hand, ready to throw down. But nah, I just watch as the vendor chases the guy down Jl. Merdeka. Crazy, right? After that, I’m feelin’ all hyped up. I decide to stroll through the park near Jl. Diponegoro. It’s usually chill, but today? Nah. There’s a group of kids playing soccer, and they’re all over the place. One kid kicks the ball, and boom! It hits me right in the leg. I’m like, “Dude, watch it!” But they just laugh. Kids, man. They don’t care. I can’t help but chuckle, though. Then, I head over to the market on Jl. Soekarno. It’s packed, as usual. I’m dodging people left and right, trying to grab some snacks. I spot these amazing pisang goreng. I’m like, “Yes, please!” But the line is a mile long. I’m losing patience, you know? Finally, I get my hands on ‘em, and they’re so good! Sweet, crispy, just perfect. Makes the wait worth it. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I’m sprinting for cover, but I slip on the wet pavement. Classic me, right? I land right in front of this old lady selling umbrellas. She just looks at me and says, “You need one, young man?” I can’t help but laugh. I buy one, obviously. So, I’m walking back, umbrella in hand, feeling like a boss. But then I see this street performer on Jl. Sudirman. He’s playing the guitar, and honestly, he’s pretty good. I stop to listen, and before I know it, I’m clapping along. The crowd’s vibing, and it’s just a good moment. I’m thinking, “This is what Katobu’s about.” But wait, it gets better. I’m about to leave when this girl walks up to me. She’s got this huge smile, and she’s like, “Hey, you’re a good dancer!” I’m like, “What? I was just clapping!” But she drags me into the crowd, and we end up dancing. I’m not even kidding. It was spontaneous and hilarious. After that, I’m on cloud nine. I decide to hit up a café on Jl. Siliwangi. I need a pick-me-up, right? I order a kopi tubruk, and it’s strong. Like, I can feel my heart racing. I sit down, and just as I’m about to sip, my phone buzzes. It’s my boss. “We need to talk.” Ugh, really? Can’t a guy catch a break? I finish my coffee, and I’m like, “Alright, let’s do this.” I head back to my place, and the whole day just hits me. I’m exhausted but happy. Katobu, man. It’s chaotic, but it’s my chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of drama. Just another day in Katobu, I guess. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
