Man, what a day! Seriously, Kebonarun is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, but nah, life had other plans. First off, I’m rollin’ outta bed at like 7 AM, and my phone’s buzzing like crazy. Turns out, my buddy Rudi is already at Warung Makan Sederhana, chowing down on some nasi goreng. I’m like, dude, save me a plate! So, I rush to get ready. I’m sprinting down Jalan Raya Kebonarun, dodging motorbikes like I’m in some action movie. You know how it is—traffic here is nuts! I swear, if I had a dollar for every time I almost got hit, I’d be rich. Finally, I get to the warung, and Rudi’s already on his third plate. I’m like, bro, you’re gonna explode! But he just laughs and offers me some. I’m starving, so I dive in. Best nasi goreng ever, no cap. I’m happy, life’s good, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, monsoon-level rain. I’m talking buckets! We dash outta the warung, but it’s too late. We’re soaked. I’m laughing, but also kinda mad. Why does it always rain when I’m out? We decide to head to Kebonarun Park to chill. I mean, it’s a nice spot, right? But the park’s flooded! I’m like, great, just great. We find a bench, but it’s wet. So, we’re just standing there, trying to avoid puddles. Rudi’s cracking jokes, and I’m trying not to slip. Then, this random street performer shows up. He’s juggling and singing, and honestly, he’s pretty good. I’m surprised! I throw him a few coins, and he gives me a thumbs up. That made my day, for real. But then, I see this guy on Jalan Kebonarun Utara, yelling at his girlfriend. Like, dude, chill! It’s not that serious. I’m getting all riled up, thinking about how love can be so messy. I mean, I’ve been there, right? After the drama, we decide to hit up the local market. It’s packed! I’m weaving through people, trying not to knock over any fruit stalls. I spot some durian, and I’m like, no way! That stuff smells like feet! Rudi dares me to try it, and I’m like, challenge accepted. I take a bite, and wow, it’s... interesting. I can’t tell if I love it or hate it. My face must’ve been priceless. Rudi’s dying laughing, and I’m just there, contemplating life choices. As the day winds down, we hit up a café on Jalan Raya Kebonarun. I order a kopi Kebonarun, and it’s strong! I’m buzzing, but in a good way. We sit outside, watching the sunset. The sky’s all orange and pink, and I’m feeling grateful. But then, I remember I left my backpack at the market! Panic mode activated! I sprint back, heart racing. I’m thinking, if I lose my stuff, I’m gonna lose it! Finally, I find it! It’s just sitting there, like nothing happened. I’m so relieved, I could cry. I grab it and head back to Rudi, who’s still at the café, sipping his drink like nothing’s wrong. What a rollercoaster, man! Kebonarun, you’ve got my heart racing. I’m exhausted but happy. Tomorrow’s gotta be a bit calmer, right? Or maybe not. Who knows? That’s the beauty of this city!
