Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Jalan Dhoho, right? The sun was blaring, and I was like, “Ugh, not today!” But ya know, duty calls. Gotta put on that pretty face and all. First stop, the market. Man, it was packed! I mean, who knew Kediri could be so alive at 7 AM? I was dodging people left and right. There’s this one vendor, Pak Joko, who sells the best tahu tempeh. I swear, I could eat that stuff all day. But he was outta stock! Like, seriously? I was ready to throw a fit. Then, I bumped into my friend Sari. She’s always got the latest gossip. Apparently, there’s a new café on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. It’s supposed to be super cute, with all these fancy drinks. I was like, “Girl, we gotta check it out!” But first, I had to get my makeup done. So, I rushed to the salon on Jalan Pahlawan. The lady there, Bu Rini, is a magician with eyeliner. But today? Ugh, she was running late. I was sitting there, tapping my foot, thinking, “C’mon, I got places to be!” Finally, she shows up, and I’m like, “You better make me look fabulous!” After that, I had a tea ceremony to attend. It was at this beautiful place near the Kediri River. The view was stunning! I mean, the river sparkled like diamonds. But then, outta nowhere, it started to rain. Like, what the heck? I was drenched! My kimono was soaked, and I was fuming. But then, I saw this little kid splashing in puddles. He was laughing so hard, and I couldn’t help but smile. Kids have this magic, ya know? They can turn a bad day into a good one. So, I joined him for a bit. We were like two crazy people, just having fun. After the rain, I headed to the tea ceremony. It was all fancy and stuff. I was trying to be all graceful, but my mind was racing. I kept thinking about that café Sari mentioned. I mean, who doesn’t love a good latte? Then, the host started talking about the history of tea in Kediri. I was half-listening, half-daydreaming about that café. But then, he mentioned something about the old Kediri kingdom. I was like, “Whoa, that’s cool!” I love history, but sometimes it’s just too much info, ya know? Finally, the ceremony ended, and I dashed to the café. It was as cute as Sari said! I ordered this fancy matcha latte. It was green and frothy, and I was like, “Yasss!” But then, I spilled it all over my kimono. I was like, “Noooo!” I mean, come on! So, I spent the next hour trying to clean it up. I was laughing at myself, thinking, “Only me!” But then, I met this guy. He was super chill, and we started chatting. Turns out, he’s a photographer. He was taking pics of Kediri’s street art. I was like, “Dude, you gotta show me!” We ended up wandering around, checking out murals on Jalan Brawijaya. Some were wild! I mean, who knew Kediri had such a vibrant art scene? I was snapping pics like a tourist. As the sun set, I felt this wave of happiness. I was tired, but in a good way. I realized that even with all the chaos, Kediri has this charm. It’s like a rollercoaster, full of ups and downs. So, I headed home, thinking about my crazy day. I laughed at the spills, the rain, and the random kid. Life’s too short to be serious all the time, right? And that’s my day in Kediri. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
