Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a carpenter in Kedungwuni is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Jl. Raya Kedungwuni. I’m like, “Great, another scorcher.” But hey, I’m a pro, so I chugged my coffee and hit the road. First stop, Jl. Diponegoro. I had a client there. Dude wanted a custom table. I get there, and he’s like, “Make it look like a tree!” I’m thinkin’, “Bro, I’m a carpenter, not a wizard.” But whatever, I roll with it. I start sketching, and this guy’s just staring at me like I’m Picasso or somethin’. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a table.” Then, outta nowhere, this cat jumps on my workbench. I’m like, “What the heck, man?” I shoo it away, but it just sits there, lookin’ at me like I owe it money. I swear, that cat had more attitude than half the people I know. After that, I head over to Jl. Pahlawan. Gotta pick up some wood. I’m in the shop, and the guy behind the counter is takin’ his sweet time. I’m like, “C’mon, man! I got stuff to do!” Finally, he hands me the wood, but it’s all warped. I’m fumin’. “You call this quality?” I’m ready to throw it back at him, but I just take a deep breath. Gotta keep my cool, right? So, I’m walkin’ back to my truck, and I see this street vendor on Jl. Raya. He’s sellin’ these crazy good fried bananas. I’m like, “Okay, I deserve a treat.” I grab a bunch, and man, they’re heavenly! Sweet, crispy, just the right amount of crunch. I’m munchin’ away, feelin’ like a king. But then, BAM! A motorcycle zooms by, splashes mud all over me. I’m like, “Are you serious?!” I look like I just rolled in a pigsty. I’m ready to chase that guy down, but I just laugh it off. What else can ya do, right? Later, I’m back at the workshop on Jl. Merdeka, tryin’ to finish that table. I’m hammerin’ away, and my buddy comes in. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” Apparently, there was a parade down Jl. Raya Kedungwuni. I missed it! I’m so bummed. I love a good parade. So, I’m workin’ late, and the sun’s settin’. The sky’s all orange and pink, and I’m just standin’ there, lookin’ at my work. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. I feel this rush of pride. Like, yeah, I built that. But then, I hear this loud crash outside. I run out, and there’s a guy on the ground, his bike all messed up. I rush over, and he’s like, “I’m fine, I’m fine!” But I can see he’s shaken. I help him up, and he’s grateful. We share a laugh about how crazy the day’s been. Finally, I pack up and head home. I’m exhausted but happy. Kedungwuni’s wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a carpenter, right?
