Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in my little pad on Jl. Raya Kefamenanu, right? The sun’s blasting through my window like it’s trying to wake the dead. I roll outta bed, grab some coffee, and think, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down to the market on Jl. Pahlawan. You know, the one that’s always packed with people? I’m dodging folks left and right, trying not to spill my coffee. And then BAM! I bump into this old dude selling fried bananas. I mean, who can resist that? I grab a bunch, and they’re so good, I almost forget I’m late for practice. So, I’m scarfing down these bananas, and I’m like, “Dude, I gotta hustle!” I sprint down Jl. Merdeka, and let me tell ya, the traffic is wild. Scooters zooming past like they’re in a race. I’m dodging cars, feeling like an action hero. But then, I trip over a pothole. Classic. I land right in front of this group of kids. They laugh, and I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, future bullfighters!” Finally, I make it to the arena. The vibe is electric. The crowd’s buzzing, and I can feel the adrenaline pumping. I’m a Banderillero, man! This is my jam! But then, I see my buddy, Rudi, looking all stressed. Turns out, our main matador bailed last minute. Like, what the heck? Now, I’m feeling a mix of anger and panic. Rudi’s like, “You gotta step up!” And I’m thinking, “Me? In front of all these people?” But hey, I can’t let my crew down. So, I take a deep breath and get ready. The bull comes charging in, and let me tell ya, it’s a beast! I’m waving my banderillas like a madman, trying to keep my cool. The crowd’s roaring, and I’m just trying not to mess up. I stab the first banderilla in, and it feels like I’m on top of the world! But then, the bull turns and charges at me. My heart’s racing, and I’m like, “Oh snap, this is it!” I dodge just in time, and the crowd goes wild! I’m feeling like a rockstar. I get a few more banderillas in, and the adrenaline is insane. I’m laughing, I’m shouting, I’m living my best life. After the fight, I’m on cloud nine. The crowd’s cheering, and I’m soaking it all in. But then, I see Rudi looking all serious again. He tells me we gotta head to Jl. Soekarno-Hatta for some post-fight celebration. I’m like, “Heck yeah, let’s party!” We hit up this little warung, and the food is bomb. I’m chowing down on nasi goreng, and it’s like heaven on a plate. We’re all laughing, sharing stories, and I’m just so grateful for my crew. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring rain. I mean, like, monsoon level! We dash outside, trying to find cover, and I slip on the wet pavement. Classic me, right? I land right in a puddle, and everyone’s cracking up. I’m soaked, but I can’t help but laugh too. By the end of the night, I’m exhausted but happy. I walk home through the streets of Kefamenanu, feeling like a champ. The city’s alive at night, and I can hear the sounds of laughter and music. I think about how crazy today was, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, Kefamenanu, you’ve got my heart. What a wild ride!
