Man, what a day! I swear, Kencong is wild. I’m a car instructor, right? So, I’m used to chaos, but today? Pffft, it was next level. Started off at the crack of dawn. I’m talkin’ like 6 AM. The sun barely peekin’ over the hills. I’m sippin’ my kopi Kencong, which, by the way, is the best coffee ever. Seriously, if you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out. Anyway, I’m ready to hit the road. First student, this kid named Budi. Sweet kid, but man, he’s got the attention span of a goldfish. We’re cruisin’ down Jalan Raya Kencong, and he’s like, “Look! A cat!” I’m like, “Dude, focus on the road!” But nope, he swerves. Almost hit a motorbike. I nearly lost it. I mean, come on! Then we hit the market area. You know, where all the food stalls are? The smell of fried tempeh and grilled corn is insane. I’m tryin’ to teach him parallel parking, but all I can think about is that corn. I’m like, “Budi, just park the car!” But he’s too busy drooling over the food. I get it, man, I do. But priorities, right? After that, we head to Jalan Pahlawan. It’s a busy street, full of people and scooters zipping by. I’m sweating bullets. Budi’s still distracted. I’m yelling, “Watch out for that guy!” But he’s like, “What guy?” Ugh! I’m about to lose my mind. Finally, we pull over. I’m like, “Budi, you gotta get your act together.” He looks at me, all wide-eyed, and says, “But I wanna be a chef, not a driver!” I mean, fair point, but c’mon! Next up, I got this lady, Siti. She’s a total boss. She rolls up in this cute little car, all ready to go. I’m thinkin’, “Finally, someone who gets it.” We hit Jalan Merdeka, and she’s nailing it. I’m so proud! But then, outta nowhere, this dog runs into the street. Siti slams the brakes. I’m like, “Whoa!” Heart’s racing. But she handles it like a pro. I’m clapping, “Yes! That’s how you do it!” She’s grinning ear to ear. I’m happy, she’s happy. It’s a moment, ya know? Then, we decide to take a break at the park near Alun-Alun Kencong. It’s beautiful there. Kids are playing, people are laughing. I grab some snacks from a nearby warung. I’m munching on some pisang goreng, and it’s heavenly. Life is good. But then, I get a call. My buddy, Rudi, is stuck in traffic on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. I’m like, “Dude, it’s 3 PM! What were you thinking?” He’s all stressed, and I’m just chillin’ with my snacks. I can’t help but laugh. After the break, I’m back to teaching. This time, it’s a group lesson. We’re on Jalan Diponegoro, and it’s packed. I’m trying to keep everyone calm, but it’s chaos. Cars honking, people shouting. I’m like, “Stay cool, folks!” But inside, I’m like, “What have I gotten myself into?” By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I’ve laughed, I’ve yelled, I’ve almost cried. Kencong, you’re a rollercoaster. But I love it. The people, the food, the craziness. It’s all part of the charm. So, I head home, thinking about tomorrow. More students, more chaos. But hey, that’s life, right? Bring it on, Kencong!
