Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Kisaran really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I woke up this mornin’ ready to tackle some carpentry work. You know, just me, my tools, and a whole lotta wood. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the road on Jl. Diponegoro, cruisin’ past the market. The smell of fried tofu hit me like a brick. I swear, I could’ve stopped for some, but I was on a mission. Gotta get to that job site, right? But then, boom! Traffic jam on Jl. Yos Sudarso. Like, c’mon! It’s not even rush hour! I’m sittin’ there, fumin’, thinkin’ about all the wood I could be cuttin’. Finally, I get to the site. It’s this cute little house on Jl. Sisingamangaraja. The owner, this sweet old lady, wanted a new porch. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! I pull out my tools, and guess what? My saw’s missing! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I must’ve left it at home. Ugh! So, I’m runnin’ back to grab it, and on the way, I see my buddy, Rudi, at the warung. He’s munchin’ on some nasi goreng, lookin’ all chill. I’m like, “Dude, you gotta help me out!” He just laughs and offers me a plate. I’m like, “Nah man, I gotta work!” But I grab a bite anyway. Can’t resist that good food, ya know? After scarfing down some of that deliciousness, I finally get back to the site. I’m pumped, ready to build this porch. But then, it starts rainin’. Like, seriously? Kisaran, you’re killin’ me! I’m standin’ there, tools in hand, lookin’ up at the sky like it owes me money. But then, outta nowhere, the rain stops. I’m thinkin’, “Alright, let’s do this!” I start hammerin’ away, and it feels good. The wood’s smooth, the sun’s peekin’ out, and I’m in my zone. But then, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and a bunch of kids are playin’ soccer, and they kicked the ball right into my work! I’m like, “Hey! Watch it!” But they just laugh and run off. Kids, man. Finally, I finish the porch. It looks awesome! I’m standin’ there, admiring my work, when the old lady comes out. She’s all smiles, and I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. She offers me some sweet tea, and I’m like, “Heck yeah!” But then, as I’m sippin’ my tea, I see my saw on the ground. I forgot it again! I’m like, “No way!” I can’t believe I’m this forgetful. I’m laughin’ at myself, thinkin’ I should just tattoo “saw” on my forehead. As the sun sets over Kisaran, I’m packin’ up my tools. I stroll down Jl. Ahmad Yani, feelin’ accomplished. The city’s alive, people are out, and I’m just vibin’. I think about how crazy today was. From traffic jams to rain, to kids kickin’ balls, it was a rollercoaster. I get home, plop on the couch, and just laugh. Kisaran, you wild! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
