Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness in Kraksaan. I mean, who knew this little town could pack such a punch? So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Jl. Raya Kraksaan for some breakfast. You know, the usual—nasi goreng and kopi. But the place was packed! Like, I thought I was at a concert or something. I’m standing there, waiting, and this dude in front of me orders like, a mountain of food. I’m like, “Bro, are you feeding an army?” He just laughs and says, “Nah, just me.” Classic. Finally, I get my food, and it’s bomb. But then, outta nowhere, this street vendor starts yelling about some sale on batik. I’m like, “Dude, I’m trying to eat here!” But I can’t resist. I mean, who doesn’t love a good batik shirt? So, I grab one, and it’s like, “Okay, now I’m ready for the day.” Next, I head over to the market on Jl. Diponegoro. It’s a total vibe. Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of spices everywhere. I’m in heaven. But then, I see this guy trying to haggle over a bunch of bananas. Like, c’mon man, it’s bananas! Just pay the dude! But he’s going back and forth, and I’m just standing there, shaking my head. Then, bam! Outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I’m soaked in seconds. I duck into a little warung to wait it out. And guess what? The owner, this sweet old lady, offers me some hot tea. I’m like, “You’re a lifesaver!” We chat a bit, and she tells me about Kraksaan’s history. Apparently, it used to be a trading hub. Crazy, right? After the rain chills out, I decide to check out the local art scene. I stroll down Jl. Pahlawan, and there’s this mural that’s just stunning. It’s got all these colors and tells the story of the town. I snap a pic, thinking, “This is gonna get mad likes on IG.” But then, I trip over a loose brick. Classic me, right? I’m on the ground, laughing at myself. So, I finally make it to the gallery. And wow, just wow. The art is incredible. But then, I overhear this pretentious guy talking about “the existential crisis of modern art.” I’m like, “Dude, it’s just paint on a canvas.” But whatever, I just roll my eyes and move on. As the day winds down, I’m feeling kinda reflective. Kraksaan’s got this charm, you know? The mix of old and new, the hustle and bustle, and the people. I grab dinner at this little spot on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta. The food is killer, and I’m just enjoying the vibe. But then, I get a call from my buddy. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” And I’m thinking, “What now?” Turns out, he got locked out of his apartment. I’m cracking up, picturing him in his pajamas, standing in the hallway. So, I wrap up my day, feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, frustrated, surprised—Kraksaan really knows how to keep you on your toes. I head back to my hotel, exhausted but grateful. What a wild ride! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
