Man, today was a wild ride in Kupang! Like, seriously, I can’t even. Woke up late, as usual. The sun was blazing, and I was like, “Ugh, not again!” I live near Jalan El Tari, and lemme tell ya, that street is always buzzing. Cars honking, people yelling, and me just trying to find my flip-flops. So, I finally drag myself outta bed. Hit up this warung for breakfast. You know, the one on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta? Best nasi goreng ever! I’m munching away, and this dude next to me spills his kopi. Like, bro, chill! It’s just coffee, not a crime scene. But I laughed it off. Gotta love the chaos, right? After breakfast, I decided to stroll down to Pantai Lasiana. The beach was calling my name! The waves were crashing, and the view? OMG, stunning! But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs past me, kicks sand all over my legs. I’m like, “Seriously, dude?!” But then I see him laughing with his friends, and I can’t help but smile. Kids, man. They’re a trip. So, I’m chilling at the beach, soaking up the sun, when I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “Yo, let’s hit up the market!” I’m down, so I grab my stuff and head over to Pasar Oebobo. That place is a maze! Fruits, veggies, fish everywhere. I’m dodging people left and right. Almost tripped over a chicken. No joke! At the market, I’m haggling for some mangga. The seller is like, “50 ribu!” I’m like, “Nah, bro, 30 ribu!” We go back and forth, and I finally snag ‘em for 40. Victory! But then, I see this old lady selling these beautiful woven bags. I’m a sucker for crafts, so I buy one. Totally worth it! Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, monsoon-level rain! I’m sprinting for cover, laughing like a maniac. I duck into this little café on Jalan Diponegoro. Grab a kopi, and just chill. The rain’s pounding, and I’m watching the world go by. It’s kinda peaceful, ya know? But then, the power goes out. Classic Kupang! I’m sitting there in the dark, and everyone’s like, “What now?” I start cracking jokes, trying to lighten the mood. “Hey, at least we’re not in a horror movie!” People laugh, and it’s cool. After the rain stops, I head back out. The streets are all shiny and fresh. I walk past the Taman Nostalgia park. It’s so pretty at night! The lights are twinkling, and I’m feeling all the vibes. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, I hear this commotion. A street performer is doing some crazy fire tricks! I’m like, “Whoa, that’s lit!” (Pun intended.) The crowd’s going wild, and I’m right there, cheering. It’s moments like this that make Kupang special. Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Today was a rollercoaster. From spilled coffee to fire tricks, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Kupang, you crazy, but I love ya! Can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventure.
