Man, what a day! I swear, Lasem really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I’m a dental tech, right? Just another day in the lab, chillin’ with my tools and teeth molds. But nah, not today. First off, I woke up late. My alarm? Totally betrayed me. I jumped outta bed, hair all over the place, looking like a hot mess. Rushed outta my house on Jl. Raya Lasem, barely had time for coffee. Like, who needs caffeine when you’ve got chaos, right? So, I hop on my bike, zooming down Jl. Pahlawan. The streets were packed! I mean, come on, it’s Lasem! You’d think people would know how to drive. But nah, they’re all just chillin’ in their cars, like they’re at a Sunday picnic. I’m dodging potholes and scooters like I’m in some kinda video game. Finally, I get to the lab, and guess what? My boss, Mr. Budi, is already there, looking like he’s ready to explode. He’s all about perfection, and I’m just trying to survive. He starts ranting about some denture order that went wrong. Like, dude, it’s just teeth! But no, he’s acting like it’s the end of the world. I’m standing there, trying not to roll my eyes. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Rudi. He’s like, “Yo, you gotta check out the new café on Jl. Diponegoro!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m at work!” But he’s persistent. “They got the best kopi Lasem!” Now, I’m torn. Work or coffee? Coffee wins, obviously. So, I sneak out during lunch. I pedal over to the café, and wow, it’s packed! Everyone’s vibing, sipping their drinks. I grab a cup of that kopi, and it’s like magic. I’m feeling good, like I can take on the world. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? Back at the lab, things are getting crazier. We get a last-minute order for a crown. I’m like, “Seriously? Who needs a crown on a Tuesday?” But whatever, I dive in. I’m mixing materials, and it’s like a science experiment gone wrong. I’m covered in plaster, looking like a walking dental disaster. Then, the power goes out. Just my luck! I’m standing there in the dark, holding a mold, thinking, “Great, now I’m a dental tech in a horror movie.” I can hear the street outside, people honking, yelling. It’s chaos! Finally, the lights flicker back on. I finish the crown, and it’s actually decent. I’m feeling proud, like I just won a gold medal or something. But then, I realize it’s 6 PM. I’m late for dinner with my fam. I rush out, biking down Jl. Jendral Sudirman. The sunset is gorgeous, painting the sky all kinds of colors. I’m feeling a bit better, ya know? But then, I hit a bump and almost fly off my bike. I’m laughing and cursing at the same time. I get home, and my mom’s like, “Where have you been?” I’m like, “You won’t believe the day I had!” And I start telling her about the lab, the coffee, the power outage. She’s just shaking her head, laughing at my misadventures. So, yeah, that was my day in Lasem. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe for a day without spills and power outages. But who’s counting?
