Man, what a day! Seriously, Lembar is wild. I woke up, and the sun was blazin’ like it was tryin’ to fry an egg on the pavement. I live near Jalan Raya Lembar, and lemme tell ya, that street is always buzzing. Motorbikes zooming past, people hawking their goods, and the smell of fried rice wafting through the air. Ugh, I was so hungry! So, I hit up this little warung on the corner. You know, the one with the blue awning? Yeah, that one. I ordered nasi goreng, and while I was waiting, I saw this dude trying to sell coconuts. He was like, “Coconuts! Fresh coconuts!” But he was so dramatic about it, waving his arms like he was conducting an orchestra. I couldn’t help but laugh. Then, boom! Outta nowhere, this stray dog runs by, and I swear it almost knocked over a whole table of food. The owner was furious! I mean, who wouldn’t be? But the dog? Just kept running like it was in a race. I was like, “Dude, chill!” After breakfast, I decided to stroll down to the beach. Lembar’s beaches are gorgeous, man. The waves crashing, the sand between my toes. But then, I saw this group of tourists trying to take selfies. They were all like, “Say cheese!” but the wind was blowing so hard, their hair was everywhere! I couldn’t help but chuckle. Like, come on, guys, it’s not a hair commercial! But then, I got a bit annoyed. Some local kids were playing soccer, and they kicked the ball right into my direction. I mean, really? I dodged it like a ninja, but it hit this old lady’s cart full of snacks. She was not happy. She started yelling in Bahasa, and I was just standing there, trying not to laugh. I felt bad, but it was kinda funny too. Later, I decided to check out the market on Jalan Lembar Utara. It’s always packed with people. I love the vibe, but man, it can get overwhelming. I was trying to buy some fresh fish, and this lady was haggling like her life depended on it. “No way, I’m not paying that!” she shouted. I was like, “Chill, it’s just fish!” Then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I ducked into a small shop, and the owner was super chill. He offered me some tea while we waited it out. We started chatting, and he told me about the history of Lembar. Did you know it used to be a fishing village? Crazy, right? When the rain finally stopped, I stepped outside, and everything looked so fresh. The streets were glistening, and the air smelled like wet earth. I felt kinda happy, you know? Like, life is good. But then, I saw my friend, Budi, across the street. He was waving like a madman. I ran over, and he was like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” Apparently, he got into a fight with a guy over a parking spot. I mean, come on! It’s just a parking spot! But Budi was all fired up, telling me how he stood his ground. Classic Budi. As the sun started to set, I made my way back home. The sky was painted in shades of orange and pink. I love that about Lembar. It’s like nature’s own canvas. I felt grateful, you know? But then, I tripped over a rock. Classic me, right? I fell right on my butt, and this old man walking by just chuckled. I couldn’t help but laugh too. I mean, what else can you do? So yeah, that was my day in Lembar. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. Just another day in this crazy, beautiful city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
