Man, what a day! Lhokseumawe, you wild city! I woke up, and the sun was already blazing. Like, come on, give a guy a break! I’m not a morning person, ya know? Anyway, I rolled outta bed, grabbed some nasi goreng from the street vendor on Jalan Merdeka. Best breakfast ever! Seriously, if you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out. So, I’m munching away, and suddenly, I hear this loud honking. Like, chill, dude! It’s just a motorbike, not a race! I look up, and it’s this guy on a beat-up bike, weaving through traffic like he’s in some action movie. I swear, Lhokseumawe traffic is a whole different level of chaos. After breakfast, I decided to stroll down Jalan Cipto. The vibe was chill, but then I saw this street performer. He was juggling, and I’m like, “Wow, this guy’s got skills!” But then, outta nowhere, he drops a ball, and it rolls right to my feet. I picked it up, and he’s like, “Hey, thanks, man!” I’m like, “No prob, just trying to help a bro out.” Then, I hit up the beach at Ujong Blang. The waves were crashing, and I felt so alive! I mean, who doesn’t love the beach? But then, I saw this group of kids building a sandcastle. They were so into it, and I thought, “Man, I wish I could be that carefree again.” But then, one kid kicked it over, and I felt this rage bubbling up. Like, why would you destroy art, dude?! After that, I needed a pick-me-up. So, I went to this little café on Jalan Alue Naga. The coffee there is like liquid gold. I ordered a kopi Lhokseumawe, and it was heavenly! I sat there, sipping my coffee, and just people-watching. You see all kinds of characters in this city. But then, my phone buzzed. It was my buddy, asking if I wanted to join him at the market. I was like, “Sure, why not?” So, I headed over to Pasar Inpres. Man, that place is a sensory overload! The smells, the colors, the noise! I love it! But then, I got into this argument with a vendor over the price of some durian. I mean, come on, it’s just a fruit! But he was adamant, and I was like, “Dude, I’m not paying that much!” Finally, I just bought it, because who can resist durian, right? But then, I regretted it. That smell! Ugh! I was walking around, trying to find a place to eat it, but I felt like everyone was judging me. Like, “Why’s that guy carrying a durian?” As the sun started to set, I made my way to the waterfront. The view was stunning! The sky was painted in shades of orange and pink. I felt this wave of happiness wash over me. Lhokseumawe, you’ve got my heart! But then, I saw this couple arguing. Like, come on, guys, it’s a beautiful evening! Chill out! I couldn’t help but eavesdrop. They were fighting over something silly, and I thought, “Man, love is complicated.” By the time I got home, I was exhausted but happy. Lhokseumawe, you’re a rollercoaster of emotions! I laughed, I got mad, I felt nostalgic. What a day! I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
