Man, lemme tell ya about my day. I’m a cashier, right? And today was just... wow. Like, I woke up in Lubuklinggau, ready to tackle the world. But boy, was I in for a ride. So, I get to the store on Jalan Yos Sudarso, right? It’s a chill street, but today? Nah, not chill at all. First customer walks in, and she’s got like a million items. I’m talkin’ about a full cart. Like, lady, do you really need 10 packs of instant noodles? I mean, I get it, they’re delish, but c’mon! Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. Just like that! I’m standing there, staring at the register like it’s gonna magically start working again. Nope. Just darkness. I’m like, “Great, now I’m stuck here with a cart full of noodles and a cranky customer.” But then, the lights flicker back on. Phew! I thought I was gonna have to start counting change with a flashlight. But guess what? The register’s frozen. Just my luck, right? So, I’m there, trying to reboot it, and the lady’s tapping her foot like she’s in a race. Chill, lady! Finally, I get it working. She pays, and I’m like, “Have a nice day!” But she just glares at me. Like, what did I do? I’m just the cashier, not the power company! Next up, this dude comes in, right? He’s wearing a jersey from some local team. I think it was PSMS Medan or something. He’s all hyped up, talking about the game last night. I’m like, “Bro, I didn’t even watch it.” But he goes on and on. I’m nodding, trying to be polite, but inside I’m like, “Dude, I just wanna scan your stuff and go home.” Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Rudi shows up. He’s always got the best stories. He’s like, “Yo, did you hear about the new café on Jalan Garuda?” I’m like, “Nah, what’s up?” Apparently, they got this crazy coffee that’s supposed to be the best in Lubuklinggau. I’m intrigued, but also, I’m stuck here. And then, the rain starts pouring. Like, seriously, it’s like someone turned on a faucet. I can see people outside running for cover. I’m just standing there, watching the chaos unfold. It’s kinda funny, honestly. People slipping, sliding, and just trying to stay dry. But then, this old lady comes in, soaked to the bone. She’s got this huge smile on her face. I’m like, “Lady, you’re drenched!” But she’s just happy to be inside. She buys a pack of biscuits and tells me about her grandkids. I swear, she made my day. After that, things calmed down a bit. I finally got a break, and I stepped outside. The streets of Lubuklinggau were all shiny from the rain. I took a deep breath, and it felt good. The air was fresh, and I could hear the sounds of the city. But then, I see this guy trying to fix his motorcycle on the side of the road. He’s struggling, and I can’t help but laugh. I mean, come on, it’s like a scene from a comedy. He’s got tools everywhere, and the bike’s just not cooperating. I head back inside, and the rest of the day is a blur. More customers, more chaos. But honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Lubuklinggau is wild, and every day is an adventure. By the time I clocked out, I was exhausted but happy. I walked home, thinking about that café Rudi mentioned. Maybe tomorrow, I’ll check it out. But for now, I’m just glad to be done with today. What a ride!
