Man, today was a wild ride in Muntilan! Like, seriously, I didn’t expect it to be this intense. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Jl. Raya Muntilan for some breakfast. You know, the usual nasi goreng and kopi. But the warung was packed! I mean, who knew everyone in Muntilan was a morning person? I had to wait like forever. I was hangry, and you know how that goes. I was ready to throw a fit. But then, I met this old dude, Pak Budi. He was hilarious! Told me stories about the good ol’ days. Like, he used to ride a bike all the way to Borobudur. I was like, “Dude, that’s a trek!” But he was all smiles, and I couldn’t help but laugh. After breakfast, I decided to stroll down Jl. Diponegoro. It’s such a vibe! Street vendors everywhere, selling everything from batik to snacks. I bought some keripik tempeh. OMG, so good! But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a skateboard zooms past me and knocks my snack right outta my hand. I was like, “Noooo!” I mean, come on, kid! I was ready to chase him down, but he was too fast. I just stood there, staring at my fallen snack like it was a crime scene. Then, I thought, “Let’s check out the market.” So, I headed to Pasar Muntilan. It was chaos! People shouting, bargaining, and I’m just trying to navigate through the crowd. I bumped into this lady selling fruits. She was super nice and gave me a free sample of mangga. I was like, “Wow, this is the best mangga ever!” But then, I realized I had mango juice all over my shirt. Great. Just great. After that, I needed a break. So, I found a little café on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta. Ordered a kopi susu, and it was heavenly. I sat there, people-watching, and just soaking it all in. Muntilan is such a mix of old and new. You got the traditional vibes, but also modern stuff popping up everywhere. It’s like, “What’s next? A robot selling bakso?” But then, the day took a turn. I heard this commotion outside. Turns out, there was a parade! Like, a legit parade with dancers and everything. I rushed out, and it was so colorful! I felt like a kid again. I joined in, dancing like nobody was watching. I mean, who cares, right? Muntilan knows how to throw a party! But then, I got a bit too into it. I tripped over my own feet and fell right into a puddle. Ugh! I was soaked! Everyone laughed, and I just had to laugh too. I mean, what else could I do? I was a mess, but it was hilarious. As the sun started to set, I walked back through Jl. Pahlawan. The sky was painted in shades of orange and pink. It was beautiful. I thought about how crazy today was. From hangry to happy, from snacks to parades, Muntilan really knows how to keep you on your toes. Finally, I headed home, exhausted but happy. I mean, who knew a day in Muntilan could be so full of surprises? I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe I’ll just stay in bed. Or maybe not. Who knows? Life’s too short, right?
