Man, what a day! I’m a shepherd, right? But today, I felt more like a lost sheep in Pamulang. Seriously, I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Just me, my flock, and the beautiful hills. But nah, life had other plans. So, I’m out on Jl. Raya Pamulang, just minding my own business, when I see this huge traffic jam. Like, come on! It’s not even rush hour! I’m standing there, watching cars honk like they’re in a concert. I’m like, “Dude, it’s just a goat crossing!” But nooo, everyone’s in a hurry. Chill, people! Then, I decide to grab some breakfast at this warung on Jl. Siliwangi. Best nasi goreng ever! I’m talking about that spicy goodness that makes you sweat. But while I’m eating, this kid runs in, yelling about a lost puppy. My heart, man! I’m all about saving animals. So, I finish my food in record time and join the search party. We’re running around like headless chickens. I’m calling out, “Here, puppy! Come to the shepherd!” But all I get is a bunch of confused looks from the locals. They probably think I’m nuts. But whatever, I’m on a mission! After what feels like forever, we find the pup under a car on Jl. Merpati. I swear, it was the cutest little thing. I scoop it up, and the kid is over the moon. I’m feeling like a hero, right? But then, I realize I’m late to check on my sheep. Panic mode activated! I dash back to my flock, but guess what? They’ve decided to take a stroll down Jl. Pahlawan. Like, really? You guys are supposed to be grazing, not sightseeing! I’m chasing them, yelling, “Get back here, you fluffy troublemakers!” Finally, I round them up, but I’m sweating like crazy. I sit down for a sec, trying to catch my breath. That’s when I notice this old man selling kue cubir on the corner. I can’t resist! I buy a few, and they’re so good. Sweet, chewy, just perfect. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” My sheep are freaking out, and I’m trying to herd them under a tree. I’m soaked, my clothes are sticking to me, and I’m laughing at the absurdity of it all. After the rain, the streets of Pamulang smell fresh. I love that! But then, I step in a puddle. Ugh! My shoes are ruined. I’m grumbling, thinking about how I’ll explain this to my wife. “Honey, I swear, it was the sheep’s fault!” As the day winds down, I’m exhausted but happy. I sit on the steps of my house on Jl. Haji Naim, watching the sunset. The sky is painted in orange and pink. It’s beautiful. I think about the lost puppy, the kue cubir, and my crazy sheep. Pamulang, you wild city! You’ve got my heart, even if you drive me nuts sometimes. I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. Just me, my flock, and the unexpected adventures. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
