Man, what a day! Pangkalanbuun, you wild beast! I woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be chill. Just another day in this crazy city. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up Jl. Yos Sudarso for some breakfast. You know, the usual nasi goreng and kopi. But guess what? The warung was outta rice! Like, how do you run outta rice in Indonesia? I was like, “C’mon, people!” So, I settled for some fried bananas. Not bad, but not what I wanted, ya know? Then, I decided to stroll down Jl. Diponegoro. The vibe was lit! Street vendors everywhere, selling all kinds of stuff. I saw this dude selling handmade crafts. I mean, they were dope! But then, I noticed a monkey just chillin’ on a nearby tree. Like, what’s up with that? I swear it was eyeing my fried bananas. I was like, “Back off, monkey!” So, I’m walkin’, mindin’ my own biz, when I bumped into this old guy. He was super friendly, right? Starts talkin’ about the history of Pangkalanbuun. Apparently, it’s got roots goin’ back to the Sultanate of Kotawaringin. I was like, “Whoa, that’s cool!” But then he started ramblin’ about the local legends. I mean, I love a good story, but dude, I had places to be! Next, I headed to the port. Man, the view was insane! The river, the boats, the whole scene. But then, I saw this massive cargo ship. It was blocking the whole view! I was like, “Seriously?!” I mean, come on, can’t a guy enjoy a nice river view without a giant ship photobombing? After that, I decided to check out the local market on Jl. Pahlawan. It was packed! I love the energy, but it was a bit much. People everywhere, haggling like pros. I tried to buy some durian. Yeah, I know, durian! But the seller was like, “Too expensive!” I was like, “Dude, I’m not payin’ that much for a spiky fruit!” Then, outta nowhere, it started to rain. Like, heavy rain! I ducked into a small café. Thank goodness for that! I ordered some tea and just watched the chaos outside. People runnin’, umbrellas flippin’ inside out. It was hilarious! I couldn’t help but laugh. But then, my phone buzzed. Work stuff. Ugh! I had to jump on a call. I’m sittin’ there, tryin’ to sound all professional while the rain’s pourin’ down. I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, we’ll get that done.” Meanwhile, I’m watchin’ the rain and thinkin’, “Why am I even in this call?” After the call, I felt a bit better. The rain stopped, and I hit the streets again. I walked down Jl. Sisingamangaraja, and guess what? I found this little art gallery. It was super cool! Local artists, vibrant colors, all that jazz. I was feelin’ inspired. But then, I stepped outside, and bam! A stray dog decided to follow me. I’m like, “Dude, I can’t take care of you!” But he was persistent. So, I named him “Buddy.” We walked around together for a bit. It was kinda nice, ya know? As the sun started to set, I made my way to the riverbank. The sunset was epic! Orange, pink, all the colors. I sat there, just chillin’ with Buddy. I thought about how crazy the day was. From breakfast fails to rain chaos, it was a rollercoaster. Pangkalanbuun, you’ve got my heart. You’re wild, unpredictable, and full of surprises. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
