Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Pariaman, right? The sun was blazin’ like it was auditioning for a role in a summer blockbuster. I mean, who needs a coffee when you got that kinda wake-up call? First thing, I hit the streets. I’m talkin’ about Jalan Raya Pariaman, the main drag. It’s always buzzing, like a beehive on steroids. People everywhere, vendors shoutin’ their deals, and the smell of fried fish wafting through the air. Ugh, I could smell it from a mile away. Made my stomach growl like a lion. So, I’m walkin’ and minding my own biz when I see this dude, right? He’s tryin’ to sell these crazy colorful kites. I mean, who even flies kites anymore? But he’s all like, “Bro, these kites will take you to the moon!” I’m like, “Dude, I just wanna get to the next street without trippin’ over my own feet.” Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I thought I was in a tropical paradise, not a water park! I ducked into this little warung on Jalan Alun-Alun. Best decision ever! The owner, this sweet old lady, served me the best rendang I’ve ever had. I swear, it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I was ready to propose right there. But then, the power goes out. Classic Pariaman, right? I’m sittin’ there in the dark, eatin’ my food like a caveman. I could hear the thunder rumblin’ outside, and I’m thinkin’, “Great, just great. Now I’m gonna get struck by lightning while eatin’ rendang.” After the rain stopped, I decided to check out the beach. Pantai Gandoriah, man! It’s beautiful, but today it was packed. Families everywhere, kids screamin’, and the waves crashin’ like they were in a rock concert. I tried to take a pic, but my phone decided to die. Of course! Just my luck. So, I’m sittin’ there, watchin’ the sunset, and it’s like the sky is on fire. I’m feelin’ all philosophical, like, “Wow, life is beautiful.” But then, I see this guy tryin’ to impress a girl by doing backflips. Spoiler alert: he totally eats sand. I laughed so hard, I almost cried. Then, I bumped into my buddy, Rudi. He’s always got the latest gossip. Apparently, there’s a new café opening on Jalan Sudirman. He’s like, “Dude, they got coffee that’ll make you see colors!” I’m like, “Rudi, I just want regular coffee, not a trip to Wonderland.” As the night rolled in, I headed back home. The streets were lit up, and the vibe was just right. I passed by the market, and the night market was poppin’. I grabbed some snacks, and this lady tried to sell me some weird fruit. I was like, “Nah, I’m good. I don’t need a fruit that looks like it’s been through a blender.” Finally, I got home, exhausted but happy. I plopped on my couch, and I couldn’t help but think about the day. Pariaman, man. It’s wild, it’s chaotic, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in the city of Pariaman. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
