Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Watchman in Paseh is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Jl. Raya Paseh. I’m like, “Great, another scorcher.” But hey, I’m used to it. First thing, I grab my coffee from that little warung on Jl. Cendana. Best brew in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ it, and boom! A street vendor trips over his cart. Noodles everywhere! I’m laughin’ my ass off. Dude’s just sittin’ there, lookin’ like a sad puppy. I help him clean up, and he gives me a free bowl. Score! Then I head to the market on Jl. Suka. It’s packed, like sardines in a can. I’m dodging people, and this lady almost knocks me over. She’s got a basket full of manggis. I’m like, “Chill, lady! It’s not a race!” But she just glares at me. Whatever. So, I’m doin’ my rounds, right? Checkin’ on the usual spots. Paseh’s got this vibe, man. The streets are alive. Kids playin’ soccer, old folks gossiping, and the smell of fried tempeh in the air. It’s a whole mood. But then, outta nowhere, I hear this commotion near Jl. Merah. I rush over, and there’s a crowd. Turns out, some dude’s tryin’ to sell fake watches. I’m like, “Bro, you’re in the wrong city for that!” People are gettin’ mad, and I’m just standin’ there, tryin’ to keep the peace. I finally get the guy to pack up. He’s cursing me out, but I’m just smirkin’. Like, dude, you thought you could hustle in Paseh? Nah, not on my watch. After that, I’m feelin’ kinda pumped. I hit up the food stalls on Jl. Bunga. Grabbed some sate, and it was fire! I’m munchin’ away, and this kid comes up to me. He’s like, “Mister, can I have some?” I’m like, “Sure, kid. But only if you promise to share with your friends.” He grins and runs off. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Rudi. He’s in a panic. “Dude, I lost my bike!” I’m like, “What?!” Turns out, he left it at the café on Jl. Kecil. I rush over, and guess what? It’s gone. Stolen! I’m fuming. Who steals a bike in broad daylight? So, I’m on a mission now. I start asking around. “Yo, you seen a blue bike?” People are shrugging, but I’m not givin’ up. Finally, this old man points me to a back alley. I’m like, “This better not be a wild goose chase.” I get there, and there it is! Rudi’s bike, chained up. I’m feelin’ like a hero. I call him, and he’s over the moon. “You’re the best, man!” he says. I’m just like, “Yeah, yeah, just don’t leave it again.” As the sun sets, Paseh lights up. The streets are buzzing, and I’m just chillin’ on Jl. Pahlawan, takin’ it all in. I see the kids still playin’ soccer, and the vendors packin’ up. It’s a beautiful chaos. I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about the day. The craziness, the laughter, the anger. Paseh’s my home, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a Watchman. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
