Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Pekalongan, right? The sun’s blazin’, and I’m like, “Ugh, another day of translating.” But then, I remember I’m in this vibrant city! First off, I hit up Jl. Diponegoro for some breakfast. Man, the nasi goreng here is to die for! I mean, who knew fried rice could be so good? I’m munchin’ away, and this street vendor starts chatting me up. He’s all like, “You’re a translator? That’s cool!” I’m thinkin’, “Yeah, but I’m just a regular dude.” Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, trippin’ over his own feet. I laugh so hard, I almost choke on my rice. Like, c’mon, how clumsy can ya be? But then I feel bad, ‘cause he’s just a kid, right? After breakfast, I head to the Pekalongan Batik Museum. OMG, the colors! I’m in love. I’m tryin’ to explain the art to this group of deaf tourists. They’re super into it, and I’m like, “This is what I live for!” But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my boss. Ugh, he wants me to cover a last-minute gig. So, I rush over to Jl. Alun-Alun. The traffic is insane! I’m stuck behind this old motorbike that’s sputtering like it’s about to die. I’m yellin’ in my head, “C’mon, move it!” Finally, I get to the venue, and it’s packed. I’m translating like a madman. The energy is wild! People are laughin’, clappin’, and I’m just tryin’ to keep up. But then, this one guy in the front row starts makin’ weird faces. I’m like, “Dude, what’s your deal?” Turns out, he’s deaf and just really expressive. I can’t help but laugh. After the gig, I’m feelin’ pumped! I stroll down Jl. Pahlawan, and the sunset is gorgeous. I snap a pic for the ‘gram. But then, I see this street performer. He’s doin’ some crazy dance, and I’m like, “I could never!” I mean, I can barely keep my balance on a good day. But then, bam! A sudden downpour! I’m soaked in seconds. I’m runnin’ for cover, laughin’ like a maniac. I duck into a little café on Jl. Siti Aisyah. The barista’s super chill, and I order a kopi. We start talkin’, and he tells me about the local scene. I’m like, “Dude, I need to come here more often!” Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about all the crazy stuff that happened today. Pekalongan, you’ve got my heart! I can’t wait for tomorrow. Who knows what’ll happen next?
