Man, what a day in Percut! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blasting through my window on Jl. Raya Percut. I’m like, “Great, another day in paradise.” But nah, it was anything but that. First off, I hit up the local warung for breakfast. You know, the usual nasi goreng and kopi. But guess what? They ran out of rice! Like, how do you run out of rice in Indonesia? I was fuming. I mean, c’mon, it’s like a burger joint running outta buns. So, I settled for some weird pancake thing. Not the same, man. Not the same. Then, I decided to stroll down Jl. Sisingamangaraja. It’s a busy street, full of life. Street vendors everywhere, selling everything from fried tofu to those crazy sweet snacks. I’m walking, minding my own biz, when suddenly, a motorbike zooms past me. Almost took my arm off! I swear, these drivers think they’re in a Fast & Furious movie or something. I yelled, “Hey, watch it!” but they just laughed. Like, really? You think it’s funny to almost take out a pedestrian? After that, I needed a breather. So, I hit up the park near Jl. Pahlawan. It’s got this nice little pond, and I thought, “Hey, let’s chill.” But nope! There were kids everywhere, screaming and running around. I mean, I love kids, but not when I’m trying to relax. One kid even splashed water on me. I was like, “Dude, chill!” But he just giggled. Kids, man. They’re a whole different level of chaos. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my old buddy, Rudi. We used to hang out all the time back in the day. He’s like, “Yo, let’s grab a drink!” So, we head to this little bar on Jl. Jendral Sudirman. It’s got this chill vibe, and the drinks are cheap. We’re catching up, laughing about old times, and I’m feeling good again. Rudi’s got this wild story about a cat he rescued. I mean, who rescues cats in Percut? But hey, it’s Rudi. He’s always been a bit of a weirdo. But then, the night took a turn. We’re walking back, and I see this street performer. He’s juggling fire! Like, who does that? I’m standing there, mouth agape, when suddenly, he drops a torch. Fire goes everywhere! People are screaming, and I’m just standing there, frozen. Rudi’s like, “Dude, run!” But I can’t move. It was like a scene from a movie. Finally, the guy puts it out, and everyone’s cheering. I’m like, “What just happened?” By the time I got home, I was exhausted. My head was spinning with all the craziness. Percut is wild, man. One minute you’re chillin’, the next you’re dodging motorbikes and fire. I flopped onto my bed, thinking about how this city is a rollercoaster. It’s chaotic, it’s loud, but it’s home. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another day in Percut, full of surprises and a bit of madness. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
