Man, what a day! I swear, Praya is wild. Like, I thought I knew this city, but today? Total rollercoaster. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill.
First off, I hit up Jl. Raya Praya for breakfast. You know, the usual spot with the best nasi goreng? But guess what? They ran out! Like, how do you run out of nasi goreng? I was ready to throw a fit. I mean, c’mon, it’s breakfast! So, I settled for some weird omelet thing. Not the same, man. Not the same.
Then, I decided to stroll down Jl. Pahlawan. It’s a nice street, lots of shops, but today? It was packed! Like, I’m talking sardines in a can. I’m dodging people left and right, trying not to spill my coffee. And then, bam! I bump into this dude. He’s like, “Watch where you’re going!” I’m like, “Bro, you’re the one standing in the middle of the sidewalk!” Ugh, people can be so annoying.
After that, I needed a breather. So, I hit up the park near Jl. Diponegoro. It’s got this cute little pond, and I thought, “Hey, let’s chill for a sec.” But nooo, there’s a bunch of kids screaming and running around. I mean, I love kids, but can they not? Just for five minutes? I’m trying to enjoy my coffee here!
Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m talking monsoon vibes. I sprint to the nearest warung, soaking wet, looking like a drowned rat. And guess what? They’re out of my favorite snacks too! Seriously, what’s with today? I’m about to lose it.
But then, I meet this cool local guy, right? His name’s Budi. He’s chillin’ at the warung, laughing at my soaked self. We start chatting, and he tells me about this hidden beach near Praya. I’m like, “Dude, why didn’t I know about this?” He’s all, “You gotta check it out!” So, I’m thinking, “Why not? Today can’t get worse.”
So, we hop on his scooter and zoom off. The wind in my hair, the rain’s finally letting up, and I’m feeling alive! We hit this little road off Jl. Soekarno-Hatta, and I’m like, “Where are we going?” But Budi’s got this grin, and I’m trusting him.
Finally, we reach this beach. It’s stunning! White sand, clear water, and barely anyone around. I’m like, “This is paradise!” We chill there, laughing, sharing stories. I even forgot about the awful morning. It’s like Praya was saying, “Chill, I got you.”
But then, outta nowhere, a wave crashes and soaks my phone! I’m like, “Noooo!” My heart drops. But Budi’s laughing, and I can’t help but join in. It’s ridiculous, right?
As the sun sets, I’m just sitting there, feeling grateful. Praya’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I mean, yeah, it can be a pain sometimes, but it’s also full of surprises. I head back, tired but happy.
So, that was my day in Praya. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
