Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Pundong really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my gear—my trusty sharpener, some oil, and a couple of rags. Gotta keep my tools sharp, ya know? I hit the streets, and lemme tell ya, Jalan Raya Pundong was a freakin’ zoo. Cars honkin’, people shoutin’, and I’m just tryin’ to navigate through the chaos. I swear, if I had a dollar for every time someone bumped into me, I’d be rich. So, I’m walkin’ down Jalan Pundong, and I spot this kid, maybe 10 years old, tryin’ to sell some snacks. He’s got this huge smile, and I’m like, “Aww, look at this little entrepreneur!” I buy a bag of fried tempeh from him. Best decision ever! Crunchy, salty goodness. Made my morning, for real. But then, outta nowhere, this dude on a motorbike zooms past me. I mean, he’s goin’ like 100 mph! Almost knocks me over. I’m like, “Yo, chill! This ain’t a racetrack!” I get all fired up, shoutin’ after him. But he just laughs and speeds off. Rude, right? Anyway, I finally make it to the market on Jalan Siti Aisyah. It’s packed! I set up my little sharpener stand, and people start comin’ over. I’m sharpenin’ knives, scissors, you name it. It’s like a mini factory over here. I’m in my zone, feelin’ like a rockstar. Then, this lady comes up. She’s all frantic, like she just saw a ghost. “My knife! It’s dull! I can’t cook!” she says. I’m like, “Lady, I got you.” I sharpen that thing like it’s my life’s mission. She’s so happy, she gives me a huge smile and a tip. I’m grinnin’ ear to ear. Moments like that make it all worth it, ya know? But then, bam! The sky opens up. Rain pours down like it’s the end of the world. I’m tryin’ to cover my stuff, but it’s too late. My sharpener’s gettin’ soaked! I’m cussin’ under my breath, like, “Really, Pundong? You had to do me like this?” I pack up as fast as I can, and I’m sprintin’ down Jalan Pundong again, dodgin’ puddles like I’m in some kinda obstacle course. I’m soaked, my gear’s soaked, and I’m just done. But then, I see that kid again! He’s still sellin’ snacks, and he’s got this huge poncho on. I can’t help but laugh. “You’re ready for anything, huh?” I say. He just grins and offers me a snack. I take it, and it’s like a burst of sunshine in my mouth. I’m feelin’ better already. So, I decide to head to the café on Jalan Pahlawan. I need a break. I order a kopi Pundong, and it’s like heaven in a cup. I sit there, watchin’ the rain, and I’m thinkin’ about how wild today’s been. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, askin’ if I wanna hit up the night market later. I’m like, “Heck yeah!” I mean, who can resist the night market? The lights, the food, the vibe—it’s electric! So, I finish my coffee, and I’m headin’ home, still buzzin’ from the day. Pundong, you crazy! You’ve got me feelin’ all sorts of emotions. I’m angry, happy, surprised, and just plain soaked. But that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with the punches. And as I walk home, I can’t help but smile. Pundong, you’re a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade you for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
