Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness in Reuleuet. Like, where do I even start?
So, I woke up late. Classic me, right? I was supposed to meet a client at the corner of Jalan Raya Reuleuet. But guess what? I overslept! Ugh! I rushed outta my place, barely had time to grab coffee. I mean, who can function without caffeine? Not me, that’s for sure.
Anyway, I sprinted down Jalan Raya, dodging scooters like I was in some kinda video game. Reuleuet’s streets are wild, man! You got people zipping by, honking like it’s the end of the world. I almost got run over by this dude on a bike. Like, chill, bro! It’s just a Tuesday!
Finally, I made it to the meeting. My client was already there, looking all serious. I was like, “Dude, you could’ve texted me!” But he just shrugged. Whatever. We talked about career paths and stuff. I tried to sound all wise and professional, but inside, I was still half-asleep.
Then, outta nowhere, this street performer starts playing the angklung nearby. I swear, the sound was so beautiful! I got distracted. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s not every day you hear that in Reuleuet. I was vibing, feeling all the good energy. But then, my client was like, “Focus!” Ugh, fine!
After the meeting, I decided to stroll around. I hit up Jalan Pahlawan, where all the food stalls are. Man, the smell of fried rice was intoxicating! I grabbed some nasi goreng, and it was fire! Like, I could eat that every day.
But then, I saw this stray dog. Poor thing looked so sad. I wanted to help, but I didn’t have any food left. I felt guilty, ya know? So, I just petted it for a bit. It wagged its tail, and I was like, “Aww, buddy!”
Then, I headed to the park near Jalan Merdeka. It’s a chill spot, perfect for people-watching. I plopped down on a bench, just soaking it all in. Kids were playing, couples were laughing, and I was just there, feeling all the feels.
But then, this group of teenagers started arguing. Like, seriously? In the middle of my zen moment? They were yelling about some TikTok challenge. I rolled my eyes so hard, I thought I’d see my brain. “Get a life, guys!” I wanted to shout, but I kept it to myself.
As the sun started to set, I decided to head back. But guess what? I got lost! I took a wrong turn on Jalan Jendral Sudirman. I was like, “Great, just great!” I pulled out my phone, trying to figure out where I was.
Finally, I found my way back, but not before I stumbled upon this cute little café. I couldn’t resist! I grabbed a slice of cake and a latte. Best decision ever! The cake was so good, I almost cried.
By the time I got home, I was exhausted but happy. Reuleuet had thrown me a rollercoaster of a day. I laughed, I got annoyed, I felt all the feels. It was chaotic, but that’s what makes life interesting, right?
So yeah, that was my day in Reuleuet. Full of surprises, food, and a bit of drama. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
