Man, lemme tell ya about my day in Sidoarjo. Wow, just wow. I’m a bouncer, right? So, I’m used to craziness, but today? Today was somethin’ else. Started off chillin’ at the bar on Jl. Raya Sidoarjo. You know, just another day, right? But nah, not today. First, I get a call from my boss. “Yo, we got a VIP comin’ in.” Great. Just what I need. VIPs think they own the place. So, I’m standin’ there, lookin’ tough, but inside I’m like, “Please don’t let it be some rich jerk.” And guess what? It was! This dude rolls in, all flashy, like he’s the king of Sidoarjo. I mean, c’mon, bro, we’re in Sidoarjo, not Jakarta! He struts in, and I’m already annoyed. He’s got this entourage, all laughin’ too loud, thinkin’ they’re the life of the party. I’m like, “Dude, tone it down.” But nah, they just keep goin’. I swear, I could hear ‘em from Jl. Pahlawan. Then, outta nowhere, this girl trips. Like, full-on faceplant. I rush over, thinkin’ she’s hurt. But nah, she just laughs it off. “I’m good!” she says. I’m like, “You sure? You just ate the floor.” But she’s all smiles. That made me happy, I guess. But then, the VIP guy? He starts actin’ like a total tool. He spills his drink all over the bar. I’m like, “Dude, really?” I mean, we’re in Sidoarjo, not some fancy club in Bali. Clean up your mess! So, I’m tryin’ to keep the peace, right? But then, his buddy starts yellin’ at me. “You can’t talk to him like that!” I’m like, “Bro, I’m the bouncer. I can talk however I want.” And then, it gets wild. A fight breaks out! Right there on Jl. Diponegoro. I’m like, “Oh hell no!” I jump in, tryin’ to separate these fools. It’s chaos! People are shoutin’, drinks are flyin’. I’m thinkin’, “This is NOT what I signed up for.” Finally, I get ‘em apart. I’m sweatin’ like crazy. My heart’s racin’. But then, I see the girl from earlier. She’s laughin’ again! I can’t help but smile. She’s like, “You’re a hero!” I’m like, “Nah, just doin’ my job.” After all that, I need a break. So, I step outside for some fresh air. Jl. Jendral Sudirman is quiet. I can hear the crickets. It’s nice. I take a deep breath, thinkin’ about how crazy this day was. But then, I see a street vendor. Man, I love those guys! I grab some tahu tempeh. Best snack ever! I’m munchin’ away, feelin’ good again. Sidoarjo has the best street food, no doubt. As I head back in, I see the VIP guy leavin’. He’s all mad, but I don’t care. I’m just glad the night’s almost over. I’m thinkin’, “What a day!” So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s Sidoarjo for ya. Always keepin’ it interesting. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
