Man, what a day! I swear, Sigli really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the road on Jalan Raya Sigli. Traffic was a mess. Like, seriously, who taught these folks how to drive? I’m stuck behind this old dude in a beat-up motorbike. He’s going 20 km/h, and I’m losing my mind. I’m like, “C’mon, grandpa! I got insurance policies to sell!” Finally, I get to the office on Jalan Teuku Umar. I’m pumped, ready to tackle the day. But then, boom! My computer crashes. Just like that. I’m staring at the screen like it just insulted my mother. I mean, really? I need this thing to work! So, I grab a coffee from the little warung down the street. Best coffee ever, by the way. I’m talking about that strong, black stuff that wakes you up and slaps you in the face. I’m sipping it, feeling a bit better, when I bump into my buddy, Rudi. He’s all like, “Hey, man! You look like you’ve seen a ghost!” I’m like, “Nah, just my computer.” We chat for a bit, and he tells me about this new insurance scheme. I’m intrigued. I mean, who doesn’t love a good scheme, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I’m talking about a monsoon, people! I’m soaked in seconds. Rudi’s laughing, and I’m just standing there, drenched, thinking, “This is NOT how I pictured my day.” So, I rush back to the office, looking like a drowned rat. My boss sees me and just shakes his head. Classic. I sit down, trying to dry off, when my phone buzzes. It’s a client. They wanna cancel their policy. I’m like, “Are you kidding me? I just got soaked for you!” But I keep it cool. “Sure, let’s talk about it,” I say, trying to sound all professional. After that, I get a call from a guy on Jalan Pahlawan. He’s had an accident. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” But then, I hear the story. He crashed his bike into a cow. A COW! I can’t help but laugh. I mean, who crashes into a cow? I tell him, “Dude, you gotta get that cow insured!” Finally, the day starts winding down. I’m exhausted but kinda happy. I mean, Sigli is wild, but it’s my wild. I love the chaos, the people, the food. I grab some nasi goreng from a street vendor. Best decision ever. I’m munching away, thinking about how crazy life is here. As I head home, I can’t help but smile. Sure, it was a rollercoaster, but that’s Sigli for ya. You never know what’s coming next. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
