Man, what a day! I swear, Sorong just threw me a curveball. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, ya know? Just another day in this crazy city. But nah, Sorong had other plans. First off, I hit up Jl. Yos Sudarso for breakfast. Best place for nasi goreng, no cap! I’m munching away, feeling all good, when suddenly this stray dog decides my plate looks better than my face. Like, dude, back off! I’m not sharing my food with you! But I laughed it off. Gotta love the street life here, right? After that, I strolled down Jl. Raya Sorong. The vibe was lit! People everywhere, vendors shouting, kids playing. I felt alive! But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I’m soaked, my hair’s a mess, and I’m just standing there like a wet cat. Seriously, why does it always rain when I’m out? So, I ducked into this little café on Jl. Siliwangi. Grabbed a kopi Sorong to warm up. And OMG, the barista was super chill. We started chatting about the local scene. He told me about the best diving spots near Raja Ampat. I was like, “Dude, I need to go!” But then I remembered my bank account. Ugh, adulting sucks! After the rain stopped, I decided to explore the waterfront. The view was stunning! The sunset over the harbor? Breathtaking. I snapped a million pics. But then, I tripped over a rock. Classic me, right? I fell, and this group of tourists laughed. I mean, come on! I’m just trying to appreciate the beauty of Sorong here! Then, I wandered over to Jl. Maluku. There’s this market that’s always buzzing. I found this cool handmade bracelet. The seller was super nice, but I haggled like a pro. I felt like a boss! But then, I realized I was late for a meet-up with some friends. Panic mode activated! I sprinted back to Jl. Siliwangi, dodging people like I was in a video game. I finally made it, but my friends were already halfway through their meals. I was like, “Guys, save me some!” They laughed, but I was serious. I can’t miss out on the seafood here. Dinner was a blast! We were at this spot called Warung Makan. The grilled fish was to die for! We were joking around, sharing stories, and I felt so grateful. But then, my buddy spilled his drink all over me. I was like, “Really, dude?!” But we all just laughed it off. As the night went on, we hit up a karaoke bar. I’m not a singer, but I had to try. I butchered some classic Indonesian songs, and everyone was dying of laughter. I mean, who knew I could be this bad? But it felt good to just let loose. Finally, I stumbled home, exhausted but happy. Sorong, you wild city! You made me laugh, you made me mad, and you made me feel alive. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. But for now, I’m crashing. Goodnight, Sorong! You crazy, beautiful place!
