Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Stabat, right? You know, that little gem in Indonesia. I’m an estimator, but today felt like I was estimating my sanity instead. First off, I hit the streets of Jl. Diponegoro. It’s like a race track out there! Cars zooming, people hustling. I’m just trying to grab some breakfast. I stop at this warung, and the nasi goreng is calling my name. But guess what? They’re out of eggs! Like, how do you run out of eggs in a breakfast joint? I’m like, “C’mon, man!” So, I settle for some kopi. At least that’s good. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Great start, right? I’m walking around with a coffee stain that looks like a Rorschach test. Next, I head to Jl. Raya Stabat. I’m on my way to meet a client. This dude is always late. I swear, if I had a dollar for every time he made me wait, I’d be rich. So, I’m standing there, checking my watch, and I see this street vendor selling these crazy snacks. I’m talking about keripik, man! I can’t resist. I grab a bag, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I’m dodging puddles, trying to keep my snacks dry. I’m laughing at myself, thinking, “This is my life.” Finally, my client shows up. He’s all flustered, like he just ran a marathon. We sit down at this café on Jl. Pahlawan. I’m trying to focus on the numbers, but all I can think about is how my shirt looks like a coffee crime scene. We’re going over estimates, and he’s nitpicking everything. I’m getting more and more annoyed. Like, dude, I’m the estimator here! But I keep my cool. I mean, I’m in Stabat, the heart of North Sumatra, and I can’t let some guy ruin my vibe. After the meeting, I decide to take a stroll by the river. The sun peeks out, and it’s beautiful. I see families hanging out, kids playing. It’s a nice reminder of why I love this place. But then, I trip over a rock. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and everyone’s staring. I just laugh it off. As I’m getting up, I spot this old man selling traditional crafts. I can’t resist. I buy a little wooden carving. It’s a reminder of the day, you know? The ups and downs. Then, I head back to my car, parked on Jl. Sisingamangaraja. I’m exhausted but happy. I crank up the music and drive through the streets, feeling the energy of Stabat. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of spills, thrills, and a bit of drama. Just another day in Stabat, where the unexpected is the norm. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
