Man, what a day! I swear, Sumbawa-Besar just threw me for a loop. I woke up thinkin’ it was gonna be chill, ya know? Just me, my bow, and the wild. But nah, the city had other plans.
First off, I hit up Jalan Raya, right? Just cruisin’ along, feelin’ like a boss. The sun was blazin’, and I was like, “This is the life!” But then, BAM! I see this huge crowd near the market. Turns out, some dude was tryin’ to sell a goat. A GOAT! Like, who even does that? I mean, I get it, goats are cute and all, but c’mon, man.
So, I’m standin’ there, laughin’ my ass off, when suddenly, this old lady starts yellin’. She’s all like, “Get away from my goat!” I’m thinkin’, “Lady, it’s not your goat if it’s for sale!” But she was relentless. I was ready to step in, but then she pulls out a broom. A BROOM! I’m like, “Whoa, chill, grandma!”
After that chaos, I needed a breather. So, I strolled down Jalan Diponegoro. Man, the vibe there is just... electric. Street food everywhere! I grabbed some sate, and let me tell ya, it was fire! I was munchin’ away, and this kid comes up to me, all wide-eyed. He’s like, “Mister, can I have some?” I’m like, “Sure, kid, but only if you promise to share your toys.” He just laughed and ran off. Kids, man.
Then, I decided to hit the beach. Pantai Lontar, baby! The waves were crashin’, and I was feelin’ all philosophical. Like, why do we hunt? Is it for survival or just for the thrill? I dunno, but I love it. But then, outta nowhere, this wave comes and soaks me! I’m soaked, salty, and kinda pissed. I mean, c’mon, ocean!
So, I’m sittin’ there, tryin’ to dry off, when I see this group of surfers. They’re all like, “Dude, come join us!” I’m like, “Nah, I’m good. I hunt, not surf.” But they kept pushin’. Finally, I said, “Fine! But if I wipe out, I’m takin’ you all down with me!”
Guess what? I wiped out. Hard. I’m floppin’ around like a fish outta water. Everyone’s laughin’, and I’m just tryin’ to breathe. But hey, at least I made some new friends, right?
Later, I headed back to the city. I was feelin’ kinda down, ya know? But then I passed by the local market again. The smell of fresh fruit hit me like a truck. I grabbed some manggis and rambutan. Best decision ever! I was munchin’ on those, and suddenly, I felt happy again.
But then, I saw a guy tryin’ to sell fake watches. I mean, c’mon, dude! Who’s gonna buy that? I was like, “Bro, just stick to the goats!” He didn’t find it funny. Oops.
As the sun set, I walked along Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. The sky was painted in orange and pink. It was beautiful. I thought about my day. Crazy, wild, and full of surprises. Sumbawa-Besar, you never cease to amaze me.
So, yeah, that was my day. Full of laughs, a bit of anger, and a whole lotta surprises. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
