Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Sumber really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up late, as usual. Alarm? Nah, that thing’s just a suggestion, right? So, I’m rushin’ outta my place on Jl. Raya Sumber, barely grabbin’ my tools. I’m a machinist, not a magician, but today felt like I was in a circus. First stop, the workshop on Jl. Pahlawan. I’m thinkin’, “Alright, let’s get this day rollin’.” But nooo, the machine’s jammed. Like, seriously? I’m yankin’ on levers, cursing like a sailor. My buddy Budi’s laughin’ at me. “You sure you’re a machinist?” he says. I’m like, “Dude, I’m just tryin’ to make metal dance here!” Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I fix it. Boom! Machine’s purrin’ like a kitten. I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. Classic Sumber, right? I’m standin’ there in the dark, thinkin’ about how I’m gonna pay my bills. So, I head out to grab some food. Hit up this warung on Jl. Diponegoro. Best nasi goreng in town, no cap. I order, and while I’m waitin’, I see this street performer. He’s doin’ some wild tricks with fire. I’m like, “Man, I can barely handle a wrench, and this dude’s playin’ with flames!” Food finally comes, and it’s glorious. I’m chowin’ down, and then I hear this commotion outside. Turns out, there’s a parade! In Sumber? Who knew? I rush out, and it’s a whole vibe. People dancin’, music blarin’, and I’m just standin’ there, mouth full of rice, grinnin’ like an idiot. But then, I spot this guy tryin’ to steal a kid’s balloon. Like, really? Who steals balloons? I’m not a hero, but I can’t just stand by. I rush over, and I’m like, “Hey! Back off, buddy!” He looks at me like I’m crazy. I mean, I might be, but not for this! He bolts, and the kid’s cryin’. I hand the kid my drink. “Here, buddy, it’s all good.” After that, I’m feelin’ like a champ. I head back to the workshop, but guess what? The power’s still out. Ugh! So, I decide to take a stroll down Jl. Merdeka. The street’s packed with vendors, and I can’t resist. I grab some snacks, and this old lady starts tellin’ me stories about Sumber. She’s got the best tales, man. But then, I trip over a loose brick. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and everyone’s laughin’. I just laugh it off. “Guess I’m just tryin’ to get closer to the ground!” Finally, I make it home, exhausted but happy. Sumber’s wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but it’s home. I crash on my bed, thinkin’ about the day. Machines, parades, and a kid’s balloon. What a ride! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
