Man, what a day! I swear, being a glazier in Tangerang is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Jl. Raya Serpong. I’m like, “Great, another hot day.” But hey, I’m used to it. First job of the day, I gotta fix this huge glass panel at a cafe on Jl. Siliwangi. I get there, and the owner’s all stressed out. “Dude, my customers are gonna freak if they see this!” I’m like, “Chill, bro, I got this.” But inside, I’m thinkin’, “Why do I always get the crazy jobs?” So, I’m up on the ladder, right? And outta nowhere, this cat jumps at me! I almost drop the glass! I’m like, “What the heck, cat?!” People outside are laughin’. I’m just tryin’ to keep my cool. But man, that cat had some serious ninja skills. After that, I head over to Jl. Cendana. This lady wants a custom mirror for her salon. She’s all about the bling. “Make it sparkle!” she says. I’m like, “Lady, it’s glass, not a disco ball.” But I do my thing, and she’s happy. I mean, who doesn’t love a good mirror selfie, right? Then, I get a call. “Yo, we need you at Jl. Pahlawan!” Some dude broke a window during a football match. I rush over, dodging traffic like I’m in a video game. Tangerang traffic is no joke, man. It’s like a never-ending game of Frogger. When I get there, the crowd’s wild. People are shoutin’, “Goal!” and I’m just tryin’ to fix this window. I’m like, “Can y’all chill for a sec? I’m workin’ here!” But they’re too hyped. I can’t blame ‘em, though. Football’s life in Indonesia. Finally, I get the window fixed. Everyone’s cheerin’. I’m feelin’ like a hero for a hot minute. But then, I step back, and bam! I trip over a stray dog. I’m on the ground, glass in hand, and the dog’s just lookin’ at me like, “You good, bro?” I can’t help but laugh. By the time I’m done, it’s late afternoon. I’m exhausted. I head to my favorite warung on Jl. H. Juanda. Gotta get some nasi goreng to refuel. The owner knows me. “You want extra sambal?” he asks. “Always!” I reply. That sambal is fire, man. As I’m eatin’, I think about my day. Crazy, right? From cats to football fans to tripping over dogs. Tangerang’s got its quirks, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The vibe, the people, the food—it's all part of the ride. So, I finish my meal, pay up, and head home. I’m beat, but I can’t help but smile. Tomorrow’s another day, another adventure. And who knows what’s gonna happen next? Just another day in the life of a glazier in Tangerang.
