Man, what a day! Seriously, Tanjung is wild. I woke up, sun blaring through my window. I’m a potter, right? So, I’m all about that clay life. But today? Ugh, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I hit the market on Jl. Raya Tanjung. You know, the one with all the food stalls? I’m just tryna grab some breakfast. I’m thinking, “Nasi goreng, yes please!” But nah, the line was longer than my last relationship. I’m standing there, stomach growling like a beast. Finally, I get my plate, and it’s like heaven on a banana leaf. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? So, I’m walking down Jl. Pantai, trying to shake off the embarrassment. The ocean’s right there, waves crashing, and I’m like, “Okay, chill out, it’s just a shirt.” But then, I see this street performer. Dude’s juggling fire! I’m like, “Whoa, that’s dope!” But then, he drops a flaming stick. Fire everywhere! People are screaming, and I’m just standing there, mouth agape. Tanjung, man, you never know what’s gonna happen. After that chaos, I head to my workshop on Jl. Kebun. I’m all pumped to throw some clay. But guess what? My wheel’s acting up. It’s wobbling like it’s had too much to drink. I’m cursing under my breath, “Come on, you piece of junk!” I finally get it going, and I’m shaping this beautiful vase. I’m feeling like a god. But then, BAM! My cat, Momo, jumps on the table. Clay everywhere! I’m like, “Momo, you little menace!” So, I clean up, and I’m finally in the zone. I’m making this killer piece, right? And then, my buddy Rudi pops in. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he tells me about this hidden beach near Tanjung. I’m intrigued. “Dude, we gotta check it out!” But then, he says it’s a secret. I’m like, “C’mon, spill the beans!” After a long day of battling clay and cats, I decide to hit up the beach. I grab my bike and zoom down Jl. Pantai again. The sunset is insane! Orange, pink, all the colors. I’m feeling good, you know? But then, I hit a pothole. My bike goes flying, and I land right in the sand. I’m covered in dirt, but I’m laughing. Tanjung, you’re a trip! I finally find the beach Rudi was talking about. It’s secluded, just me and the waves. I sit there, soaking it all in. The sound of the ocean, the cool breeze. It’s peaceful. I think about my day, all the craziness. I’m grateful, you know? Tanjung’s got its quirks, but it’s home. As I ride back, I can’t help but smile. Sure, I had a rough day, but it was real. Tanjung, with all its chaos, is where I belong. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
