Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in Tarakan, right? The sun was blazing, and I was like, “Ugh, another day in paradise.” But lemme tell ya, it was anything but chill. First off, I hit up Jl. Yos Sudarso for some breakfast. You know, the usual nasi goreng and kopi. But the place was packed! Like, I thought I was at a concert or something. I mean, who knew breakfast could be such a scene? I was hangry, and the wait felt like forever. I was about to lose it. But then, I saw this cute little kid with a big ol’ smile, and I was like, “Aww, okay, I can wait.” Kids have that magic, ya know? After finally getting my food, I dashed over to the community center on Jl. Diponegoro. I had a meeting with some local peeps about a new project. But guess what? Half the crew was late. Classic Tarakan, right? I mean, it’s like time doesn’t exist here. I was pacing, thinking about how I could’ve been chilling at the beach instead. But then, when they finally showed up, they brought this amazing krupuk. Like, how do you even get that stuff? I was munching away, and suddenly, I was all smiles again. So, we started talking about the project. It’s about cleaning up the beaches. Tarakan’s got some beautiful spots, but man, the trash situation is real. I got fired up, like, “We gotta do better, people!” But then, one dude was like, “Nah, it’s too much work.” I almost flipped the table! Like, c’mon, bro! We live here! But I kept it cool. I mean, I’m a community manager, right? Gotta keep the peace. After the meeting, I decided to take a stroll down Jl. Sejahtera. The vibe was chill, and I was just soaking it all in. The sea breeze hit me, and I thought, “This is why I love Tarakan.” But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring! Like, seriously, the sky just opened up. I was soaked in seconds. I ducked into a little warung, and the owner was super nice. He handed me a towel and a hot drink. I was like, “Dude, you’re a lifesaver!” While I was waiting for the rain to chill, I chatted with some locals. They were telling me about the best spots to catch sunset views. I was like, “I need to check that out!” Tarakan’s got some hidden gems, for real. I mean, who knew? Once the rain stopped, I headed over to the beach. The sunset was insane! Like, the sky was on fire. I whipped out my phone to snap some pics, but my battery was dead. Ugh! I was so mad! But then I just stood there, soaking it all in. Sometimes, you gotta just be in the moment, right? Later, I met up with some friends at a café on Jl. Pahlawan. We were laughing and sharing stories. I told them about my day, and they couldn’t stop cracking up. I mean, who else gets rained on and then has a heart-to-heart with a warung owner? Only in Tarakan, man! As the night rolled in, I was exhausted but happy. I thought about how crazy the day was. From hangry mornings to sunset magic, Tarakan never fails to surprise me. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Tarakan. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
