Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, not dealin’ with the chaos of Tegal. But today? Phew! Buckle up, folks. So, I roll into Tegal early, like 7 AM. The sun’s just peekin’ over the rooftops. I’m thinkin’, “This is gonna be a good day.” I mean, Tegal’s got that vibe, ya know? The streets are alive, especially Jalan Pahlawan. But then, bam! Traffic. Like, what’s up with that? I’m sittin’ there, fumin’ in my truck, watchin’ the world go by. Finally, I get outta the car. I need coffee. Bad. I hit up this little warung on Jalan Jendral Sudirman. Best coffee ever! I’m talkin’ strong enough to wake the dead. I order a kopi tubruk, and the lady behind the counter gives me this huge smile. Instant mood booster! But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m like, “Great, now I look like a walking coffee stain.” Whatever, I laugh it off. Next, I head to the park, Taman Pancasila. It’s a nice spot, man. Trees everywhere, and I’m feelin’ at home. But then, I see this group of kids. They’re climbin’ the trees! I’m like, “Hey, be careful!” But they just laugh and keep goin’. Kids these days, right? No fear. Then, outta nowhere, this old dude starts yellin’ at ‘em. “Get down! You’ll break your neck!” I’m thinkin’, “Chill, grandpa. They’re just havin’ fun.” But he’s not havin’ it. I step in, try to calm things down. “Hey, they’re just kids bein’ kids.” He glares at me. I’m like, “Dude, I’m a forester. I know trees.” After that drama, I decide to grab lunch. I hit up this place on Jalan Mayjen Sungkono. They’ve got the best nasi goreng. I order it spicy, of course. My mouth’s on fire, but it’s so good! I’m sweatin’ like crazy, but I don’t care. Then, I get a call. My buddy from the forestry department. “Hey, we need you to check out a site near Tegal’s coastline.” I’m like, “Seriously? I just got here!” But duty calls, right? So, I drive down to the coast. The view is insane! The waves crashin’, the breeze blowin’. But then, I see trash everywhere. Like, come on, people! This is nature! I’m fumin’ again. I start pickin’ up trash, and this guy walks by. He just stares at me. I’m like, “What? You never seen a forester cleanin’ up?” Finally, I head back to the city. I’m exhausted but feelin’ good. I mean, I made a difference, right? But then, I hit traffic again. Ugh! I’m stuck on Jalan Raya Tegal. I’m just sittin’ there, thinkin’ about how I need a beer. I pull into this bar on Jalan Diponegoro. It’s a chill spot. I order a cold one and just relax. I’m watchin’ the sunset, and it’s beautiful. I think about my day. Crazy, emotional, and full of surprises. So, yeah, Tegal, you got me today. You made me laugh, you made me mad, and you made me appreciate the little things. I’ll be back, but next time, I’m bringin’ a change of clothes!
